took a while to understand how to use it, come with 9V battery
So this meter works but it took me a while to understand how to use it correctly. I which they had a better manual with examples of use it would have made it much easier. What's nice is that it comes with a 9V battery so it's ready to use. My battery ran out quick, and my local shop never had it in stock so it took me a while before I could test it again. All in a a very well built field meter. I have only tested it to about 5kV and it did fine. For that range I think I can easily recommend it.

Accurate reading.
The measurements seem very accurate and has a very clear readable screen. The casing however seems delicate, as long as you handle it with care its reliable.

Mixed Feelings About the Feita Electrostatic Meter
I had high hopes for the Feita Electrostatic Meter, but unfortunately, I was left with mixed feelings about its performance and construction. On the positive side, the meter provided accurate and repeatable readings, which is essential for its intended purpose. Setting it up and using it was relatively straightforward. However, the overall construction of the meter left much to be desired. The plastic case felt flimsy, and I doubt it would survive a fall from even a short height. The buttons were mushy and lacked a firm click, making it challenging to know if the input was registered correctly. Additionally, the display was clear indoors but challenging to read in direct sunlight.Considering the price, I expected higher quality and sturdier build materials. While the meter does its job, the construction compromises its overall value. It would have been worth the investment if the build quality matched its accuracy. In conclusion, the Feita Electrostatic Meter does work, but the mediocre construction and higher price point make it difficult to fully recommend without reservations. I hope future versions will address these issues and improve the overall user experience.

Validated as working and accurate, an outstanding knock-off
This thing actually works, and I say it like that because it does not feel very promising. Some meters feel solid and rugged, reliable and sturdy. This is not one of them. I expected more physical quality for this price, but I didn't take any stars off because this is an exact copy of the Simco-Ion FMX-004 (on Amazon: B086VYF27R) and that one costs a couple hundred more.So this is a great little knock-off. I say that sincerely and with commendation. They did a good job and I'm not sure they missed anything, I would say the manuals might be interchangeable.

Appears to operate as claimed, accuracy seems reasonable
This can measure static fields related to a ground connection or between two sides of the device. The sensor plate is fairly simple to relocate from one side to the other if desired for potential difference measurement. The best thing I had to test this in the summer was a plasma globe and I think to voltage readings this showed are reasonable for this type of device.

Accurate Electrostatic Meter
The media could not be loaded. I recently had the opportunity to test out the FMX-004 electrostatic field tester, and while I found it to be a well-made and reliable piece of equipment, it's worth noting that it does come with a hefty price tag.The build quality of this tester is impressive. It's made of anti-static material and comes with a grounding buckle, ensuring the measurements are correct and reliable. The device can measure a range of 0-30KV, which is quite extensive, and the added LED lights are a helpful feature for maintaining the correct distance from the object being measured. The LCD digital display is another standout feature. It shows positive charges in red and negative in blue, with a fast renewal rate of 5 times per second, making it easier to observe and record values. Additionally, the display indicates the battery charge status, which is quite convenient.Operating the FMX-004 is straightforward, thanks to its push-button operation. The ability to hold the display and retain the static charge reading is particularly useful, especially when the display is hard to see. However, despite these positives, the price of the FMX-004 is something to consider. Other brands of electrostatic field testers I've tested offer similar functionalities for about half the price. While this product is undoubtedly well-crafted and accurate, the cost may be a significant factor for those on a tighter budget. The FMX-004 electrostatic field tester is a high-quality, accurate device with useful features like an LCD display and sound alarm. However, its high cost compared to similar products might deter some potential buyers.

Works Good
While I do like this meter, it is easy to setup, use and the readings appear to be accurate. The overall feel is inexpensive which is disappointing at this price point.I have been using it for the last month and I have no issues with it. At a lower price point I would have given it 5 stars. 4 STARS

Poorly constructed
At this price, it should not be difficult to know if you have hit the button hard enough - or to question "user error" in the result. The inability to hear or feel SOME of the buttons being "clicked" when pushed is disconcerting. The readings I did get seemed to be within accurate, and were nearly the same when repeated. I feel the accuracy is probably good when it is told exactly what to test. Therein lies the problem... the users inability to know if and when it is getting through to the meter? I will definitely try to get more familiar with it, as it is a useful meter if/when it works. I do believe that at this price it should be absolutely easier to read outside in the daylight - as now it can only be read in the trailer or the house. Bright sunlight makes it impossible to use. For now, I have to say that it needs some work - better keyboard and lighting - and a stronger housing. It seems to work - so 3 stars.
