Q: Can this go through a washing machine?

This cannot go through a washer. That said, it is a great knitting backpack for travel. My my only issue is that the "yarn holes" are limiting. Especially if you want to sit at home continuing a project without the backpack and have a ball of yarn in your lap. That said, it sits up on the floor and if you are working on a project in pieces it is great. And especially great for an airplane trip. Plenty of room in the backpack for a weekend of carefully curated wardrobe! Also great for a charged battery pack inside and a phone or iPad connected in an outside pocket. Also great gym bag--room for shoes and clothes.

Q: Is this bag large enough to hold a laptop in additon to 1 or 2 small projects?

How large is laptop? I’m carrying in on a plane with my craft books and yarn. It is plenty large enough for the books. It’s great, lots of storage pockets and even one on side big enough for water

Q: I would buy this if it came in purple - any chance of getting it in other colors?

I have seen this item pop up in different colors over time. It goes out of stock pretty quickly, or at least it did in 2022 when I bought mine, but I think I actually have seen a purple one and a blue one at different times.
