This book made appear like i e been a fastfood manager awhile. No one doubted me during my training...even though i had never managed a restaurant before

I manage under the "Golden Arches". Flip-n-Burgers is a perfect complement to our management training program. I ordered a copy for each of the other six units in my group.

The book is unbelievably short, thin, small and empty. Why people call it a book? It is shorter than the class powerpoint in my school.

If you are short on time, but want a refresher on management ideas, this book is worth reading. I was impressed with the frankness and practical ideas.

Ok it was no different from what you're taught on the job training

I could have wrote this. Be aware that this "book" is about an hour read. Although there isn't a lot of information, I have to admit there are a few good points for entry level positions.

After reading Flip-n-Burgers myself I could hardly wait to purchase one for each of the manager's in my 3 restaurants. There are so many things that those of us who have been in the business for many years take for granted. The summary from the operator and HR viewpoints was invaluable in creating discussion amongst my team, made up of mostly young managers. If you find yourself leading a team of normal people, meaning they don't always listen to your experiences, then this is the book for you. I recommend purchasing one for each of your team and then scheduling small group discussions to review the key points where you need help. There is enough material to give you several months of assistance in developing your team to be stronger and more committed to those basics you and I take for granted.
