15 Lucaffe Mr. Exclusive Arabica Espresso Pods

Found this product in conjunction with a handpresso to make espresso while on a trip away from home. Besides the portability, the taste was excellent and a surprisingly strong alternative to the home brew. Highly recommended for the traveler who must have a strong espresso in the morning.

For those with E.S.E. pods espresso machines, this coffee is the perfect match! You smell the aroma straight out of the pouch. You watch the rich brown color drip into your cup followed by a smooth crema. Some say it almost smells like fresh baked bread. As you take your first sip, your can't help but savor the moment. Made from 100% Arabica beans, it is one of Lucaffe's most popular flavors.

Best pods I've ever used. The dark Italian roast is strong and bitter-- just the way I like it!! Perfect in my homemade espresso con pannas.

I enjoyed this espresso. The taste is good and cleanup is easy. I have not compared the pods to loose Arabica espresso, so I don't know if you get more crema without the pods or if you get more flavor. I have used the pods for single espresso, double espresso, cappucino, and as a shot to my regular cup of coffee. I enjoyed every cup.

But count on using 1 pod per shot if you like a full-flavored latte. Smooth and excellent crema. The pod is pretty loosly packed so it won't blow out the steam wand circuit like the 'Brand X' pods we have all used.

I am not a coffee snob but this coffee has an aroma and taste that is just off. Something artificial like. I couldn't finish the first espresso that I made with it. Tried this after going through a few boxes of Illy, looking for a less expensive alternative. This isn't it.

Wanting to make espresso & caps at the office, I needed the process of pulling espresso shots to be simple. I got Lucaffe and ILLY ESE pods as an experiment. I've been making espresso & caps at home with freshly roasted beans from a local market, grinding the beans with a burr grinder and pulling the shots with an espresso machine. Both the Lucaffe and ILLY pods don't come close. The pods lack the aroma and the taste is flat. Although each pod is individually packaged, the weak aroma is the most obvious when you tear it open. As for flavor, the lack of body could be due to the fact that these beans are 100% Arabica.The 3 star is for the well packaged pods and quick shipping.
