It is made in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, USA. This brand and the Small Breed variety was recommended by the vet who examined and immunized our mini poodle before we rescued and adopted her. Our pooch has never had a problem digesting this brand. She also asked us to mix 1/2 cup of this twice per day and mix it with a tablespoon of Pedigree wet dog food. Pedigree is also made in the USA by M & M, the candy company.

Q: does it have probiotics?

yes it does have probiotics, Lactobacillus plantarum Enterococcus Faceium Lactobacillus casei, Lactobacillus Acidophilus.My dog responds well his stool is always consistent color and texture.

Q: What is the protein content of this food

If I remember correctly, it is 28%. I have a new bag coming in tomorrow, and if it is not 28% will advise you. I don't save the bags, but rather I use a storage container with a tight lid. Both of my dogs have lost weight on this dog food and have kept it off. I started them on this food about a year ago. I give them a couple pieces of this dog food as a treat instead of milk bone or something of that nature. They seem perfectly happy and it helps maintain their weight loss. I didn't see a dramatic drop in their weight, but gradually I noticed they were thinner.

Q: Does anyone know if ANY of the ingredients come from China...or any foreign country? Thanks

I called the company and was told that the majority of ingredients come from N America. Some ingredients from New Zealand and Australia. NO ingredients from China.
