TIBO Bond Mini | Audio Receiver / Streamer in Wi-Fi | Internet Radio | Black

I bought this to provide a better-than-Bluetooth wireless connection from my iPhone and iPad to my main stereo. It arrived promptly and, although the set-up was a bit hit and miss, it works fine so for £35 you can’t argue with that.My reservations are that I can only really use it for Spotify - see available services screen print attached. I think I should be able to play music downloaded onto my phone through it but I haven’t worked out how to do that yet. It would be nice to have an on/off switch but I have ordered a replacement power lead with an in-line on/off switch so with any luck that should fix that problem. There is also no way to plug it into a power source straight out of the box, I’ve got a USB iPhone charger and it is running off that but bear in mind you will need to get some kind of 5 volt adapter before you can use it. I have installed the software on my phone and my iPad and it sometimes gets confused when I swap between them, but Bluetooth speakers struggle with that too so it’s not a problem specific to the Tibo. I also need to train myself to go into Spotify via the Tibo app to set up the wi-Fi connection as it doesn’t work otherwise.So yes, I would recommend it at the price but it you are looking for a simple, straight out of the box, plug and play experience then you might be disappointed.

Pretty easy to setup out the box.You either use wps push to connect or you connect to the tibo's wifi hotspot to pop in your router details and password - don't forget to disconnect from it and choose forget network.App is great, does come as standard with pay for services like tidal and spotify (free with ads).I found the most useful was tunein radio which has internet radio stations and podcasts from around the globe.It also has support to stream music from a plex server which I also have on a computer.You can plug this into anything that accepts audio and rename the device.As for using the app, providing is connected to your home wifi, anyone else who's connected and has the app can choose a station or song to play without additional setup.If you have multiple tibo's you can pick what plays in each individual room or select play on all.Overall, great device and fills my tech needs perfectly at a great price.

I originally purchased one of these to make my Tibo plus speakers WiFi 'smart' - easy to follow setup instructions via the Tibo app - I've now purchased a second which I've linked to a 'non-Tibo' soundbar via line in and also added a Tibo Vogue 1 as a portable speaker. With the app I can stream music stored on my PC to individual or all the speakers - this works the same with Spotify and Tunein Radio. Each speaker can play something different! I'm really pleased I found this before heading down the 'Sonos' route. With the Tibo Bond mini you're not locked into ONLY using Tibo products to create your own home WiFi music network

Not the plug and play i expected. It was a nightmare to set up and to get music playing through it to my old surround sound system (via iphone). It did however work once set up. I have since bought an up to date av receiver - press bluetooth, instant connection, how it should be, non of this faffing around to get it to work. It will now go on ebay or sit in the back of a cupboard

Product failed but great customer Service from seller speedily resolved.

I use it to stream Spotify to my hi-fi amplifier. Works fine, but sometimes it takes a while to register on my wireless network. Sound quality is acceptable rather than hi-fi quality. Altogether good value.
