Very nice, compact combo flashlight/area light.Well made, non-tactical looking handheld flash light with useful built-in area light diffuser.Very bright on max with good low light settings and strobe.

The light quality is decent, though a bit white for my tastes. I usually prefer lights in the 4000K-5000K color range. I'd say this is closer to 6000K on both the flashlight and lantern sides.It's got good throw and a decent amount of flood on the flashlight though, with enough brightness on turbo to make sure you can see comfortably at least 200 yards. The lantern is likewise well designed. It's a true 360 degree lantern with the lowest setting at a comfortable night light level and the highest setting able to light a 20 x 20 room in full detail. And the battery is more than large enough to last days if you stick to lower brightness levels.I have two issues with it though: First, the interface is annoying. If it's not in sleep mode, you can press and hold to turn on the light. But sleep mode automatically kicks in after just a minute or two, so instead you basically always need to double click, twice, before it kicks on. Then you can press and hold for on and off, but only if it's been off for less than a minute. And single clicks switch between brightness levels when it's on, rather than the press and hold used on most lights. Then there's the mode switch between flashlight and lantern, which is a double click while powered on, after double clicking, twice, from sleep mode.All of which leads into my second issue, strobe mode. Because this light has a function sequence that's different from ANY OTHER SOFIRN LIGHT, and mixed in there is the strobe function, which works on both flashlight and lantern for some reason and is extremely easy to turn on accidentally by triple clicking. Imagine you're trying to kick on your little light in lantern mode in the middle of the night while camping near others. You're a tad groggy, you need to pee, and you need to double click, twice, to turn it on, then double click to turn on lantern mode, then single click to choose the appropriate brightness level. If you accidentally triple click during that sequence, it kicks on strobe, on TURBO BRIGHTNESS, in the middle of the night, in the middle of all those tents with translucent walls, annoying everyone around you.That's why this light only gets 4 stars, and why I will NEVER take it camping.

This is my 7th Sofirn Flashlight. I have an extensive flashlight collection and I don't think there's another manufacturer that produces better quality lights for the price. The functionality of a floody beam combined with a lantern is a fantastic light for camping/fishing. This light is solid, came with a great battery and is the perfect size to throw in a backpack. The Sofirn lanterns are known for extremely long battery life on lower settings.If I could make any improvement I would add some knurling on the grip and have a variable tint or warm LED option like some of the other Sofirn Lanterns. This light will absolutely be going into the rotation with my other Sofirn camping lights.

Nice light with a non-typical user interface which requires some patience and possibly some alcohol to comprehend. I'm a collector of unique LED flashlights and have yet to encounter one so uniquely difficult to use. Find a more user friendly light.

Overall an excellent product from Sofrin. This is my 6th or so item from them.Some notes on the product:-Uses the newer lithium battery size of 21700 which offers 5000 mah of capacity. Battery is included and charges in device via USB C cable.-You get a lantern and flashlight in one device. I own flashlights and lamps from SOFRIN but this is new since it combines both.-The LED color is 5000K which is roughly equivalent to daylight-Typical SOFRIN look and feel. One button operation, charging port, and well engineered metal housing.-Some notes on the button: When off: Double click to cycle lock out. Long press to turn on and off device. When on: double click to cycle between flashlight and lantern. Quick single click to change brightness. All of these functions are covered in the included manual.-Comes in a plain brown box (typical for Sofrin) with lantern/flashlight, 2 spare o-rings, usb c cable, wrist strap, and instruction manual.
