Transformational
I followed some of the advice from the April 2015 reviewer.I found the smell overwhelming. I washed the stick and left it to air dry. I admit it took me at least two weeks to attempt to use it, I was so put off by the smell. But the very first time I used it, my teeth have literally never felt so clean. At first it was quite difficult to chew the end because I had left it to dry for so long but once i had chewed it into a brush-like end, I brushed my teeth and my teeth felt amazing. The smell was no longer an issue at this point.I have now used it for a few days and so far I am so impressed I doubt I will be using my electric toothbrush any more.My only regret is that I didn't think of using مسواك sooner.I will be recommending it to everyone who will listen. Makes me wonder how people like my parents ever stopped using such things and became convinced that disposable plastic toothbrushes were a better option!

12 Miswak natural toothbrushes
Coming across the Miswak in a comment on a blog about natural cleaning I had no previous experience to fall back upon, so my expectations were governed by minimal research plus online images and reviews. I had hoped that the colourful offerings shown on the seller's site meant I would be receiving an assortment of flavours but what arrived was plainly wrapped. I had expected something akin to licorice root, since the reading I had done suggested these things to have an outer bark, but this first root I opened looked more like a really well scrubbed, bleached, dandelion root. It was soft, looking almost mushy as if I could squish it between my fingers if I gripped it too hard, it stank overpoweringly and the taste - well that was like a cross between rotting seaweed and overcooked sprouts with a good sprinkling of pepper and mustard thrown in!! But World Health Organization recommends the use of the Miswak so who am I to argue. I found out later that a good rinsing in fresh water and an air dry improves the odour and the taste, well, it actually becomes addictive as you get used to it and the fresh feeling tingle it leaves behind. Though very probably more suited to the savoury rather than sweet tooth (licorice root, which also has some health giving properties, might suit those better).A lot of the reading I did suggested you carve off the first 1/2 inch or so of the bark then crush the central core to form a fibre brush which you cut off every few days or so to get rid of any bacterial build up. However, when I did that I found the whole thing disintegrating and went through almost the whole of my first root in just 2 days. Plus the bark actually contains an antibiotic which suppresses the growth of bacteria and the formation of plaque. So I now I am developing my own technique where I nibble about a 1/4 inch ring of bark into a pulp that is quite safe to swallow (but you could spit out if you must). I then use the flat end on the front surface of my teeth (brushing away from the gum) in an oval motion - in and down, out and up, this roughens up the fibres making the end now easy to get down the sides. Then I nibble off the spread fibres and crush these between the flats of my teeth, giving those a good polish too whilst releasing every last drop of the potassium, sodium, chloride, sodium bicarbonate and calcium oxides that all help strengthen tooth enamel. I then go on to do a tongue scrub and rub down all the oral mucosa, spreading that goodness everywhere. Now teeth have 5 visible surfaces and to benefit fully from the Miswak all of them need attention but a full length Miswak just doesn't fit round the back of the teeth so the solution I found to that was to have a tiny piece (that fits comfortably into your open mouth held between finger and thumb) specifically for that purpose. And when your root gets too small to hold - don't throw it out, use it to chew between the grinding surfaces, getting an extra clean and releasing the last of those beneficial minerals.Apart from the health benefits, the advantage of a Miswak is its sheer convenience: late for work - your Miswak means you don't have to spend time in the bathroom; on hold listening to musak - use your Miswak and get something productive out of the time; at the dentists after lunch - use your Miswak and arrive with a gleaming smile; the possibilities are endless. And the world would laugh if you had a toothbrush tucked behind you ear but I bet they'd all think it was a pencil if you had your Miswak there. My favourite drink - black tea, of which I literally drink gallons - may contain antioxidants that do me good but the tannins in it make keeping a gleaming smile between visits to the dentist an uphill battle that my electric toothbrush struggles to meet, even with the addition of a straw, flossing and mouthwashes. Just 3 days after opening the first Miswak I was already seeing an improvement. All the teeny black specs that build up in impossible to clean blemishes had disappeared and they were so gleamingly squeaky clean, and with so much less effort too. I am certainly very impressed. So much so that I don't think I'll ever go back to a standard toothbrush and all that entails.

Give it a try!!
Yep, it is what it is. A stick for oral hygiene. Really raw product and natural, works wonders! Only thing is the smell, can be very overpowering and maybe unbearable to some but after a while you get use to it! Fast delivery as well. Definitely worth buying.

Not nice
These have the weirdest smell and taste, a cross between baby corns and artichokes, so as you might imagine they are tough to brush your teeth with. I've considered soaking them in cinnamon oil or something that would make them more pleasant, but haven't as I'm sure it wouldn't make them any better. A few had white mold on the bark that is to be removed, so maybe this is why they smell and taste weird. I love the idea of not using plastic to get my teeth clean, but these aren't going to work.

Perfect Miswak Pack
The are plain flavoured, thick, Long (hand span length), quality miswaks. These are brilliant for me, for work i cut them in half and carry it on me and home use long one because it is easier to use this way, and delivered to me. Perfect

Ammonia Sticks
I tried these after visiting Egypt and clearly after a moment of weakness.Put simply I will not be buying them again nor using the product. It must have been the smell of ammonia.Surely they could have described this as a potential experience. Some of the reviews suggest they have special healing powers.Seems to me they are smelly sticksTesting them was almost unbearableI would say the supplier got them to me promptly thoughClearly the customer experience was not enough to compel me to buy moreKeep using your toothbrush is my thoughtSorry, not for me.

Ottimo prodotto

Gerne wieder
Super Sache.
