Superb fins for freediving. Definitely not very good for surface swimming. Size was just right for my size 8.5/9 uk feet, although the foot pocket is a tad large which is better if wearing socks or fin retainers.

I had read mixed reviews for these fins, so was a little uncertain. I've used a pair of Cressi light weight fins for some years, and I've always liked them. But these; I just love them!They give you such a fluid, fish-like motion through the water, with so little effort. Just a couple of leg stokes and you're down at 10m.They do take a little getting used to. Firstly the rubber "shoe" is much thicker and firmer and needs coaxing onto your foot. Then they feel strange, as the fin is mounted at the top of your foot instead of the traditional bottom, and this seems to give equal thrust on both up and down strokes.Your leg movements have to be slower and much straighter, from the hip, or you will just fighting them and end up with foot cramp!Only negative for me was that they were too long for my holdall and dive bag, so had to buy a new holdall! Needed them to have side channels to direct the water as the carbon fibers flippers have also need to be 6 inches longer of that size to increase the water volume to kick outThe plastic has memory unfortunately is not like the carbon fiber but from the other side are cheaperAre good flippers for entering level

Long fins with a medium flexibility that makes for a smooth kick. They are very effective for covering great distances. The foot pocket is positioned under the blade, which is fantastic for reducing propulsion effort. Truly enjoyable in every aspect!

These are my third pair of Cressi long blades over 15 years. These are the first of this model and the best so far. The older style grey colored foot pockets of the last model were slightly larger and both pairs rotted out over time. These fit better and I am hopeful the black foot pockets last longer. The fins get a lot of use/abuse so not expecting lifetime use here. I have always liked the length/stiffness of this brand for my swim style. Excellent fin for me for free diving and scuba alike.
