The cameras work as expected. For anyone with a moderate knowledge of networking, these shouldn't be too hard to install and setup. The most difficult part was running the ethernet cable and putting ends on it. Wires get brittle when they're cold, and it was 3° Farenheit when I did this, but all did go smoothly.It's not possible to get a wired connection in the building these cameras are in, so I'm using a wifi extender and running its ethernet out into a PoE switch, and running cable from the switch to the cameras.From there, I just had to activate the cameras and set them up with the NVR, which already had a wired connection to the network.Because the NVR was on the network, I got the system set up on the EZVIZ app so we can watch the cameras and play back footage remotely.

I used to set these up for the security company I worked for. I knew when I bought camera for my own house it would be Hikvision because of the amount of technology is built in. Image quality is excellent and with their software, you can setup a lot of different recording modes.Great product

Great cameras. These provide stellar pictures. We have purchased 20-25 of these for our business and have not had an issue with any of them.

Very capable camera. This was my 2nd Hikvision camera purchased through Amazon so I was somewhat familiar with the installation and configuration requirements. I really needed the wide angle 2.8mm lens feature because it is monitoring my entire large back yard from the top of a 15' high post that I installed for this purpose; and it does a good job in that application. If you've never configured a Hikvision camera using the iVMS-4200 software on a PC or the web app then be prepared for a steep learning curve as there are many options and features that you will need to learn about. It took me about 3 hours to fully configure this camera and customize the settings so that it had exactly the view that I needed. It is connected with a weatherproof Ethernet network cable (that I also purchased from Amazon) to a Power-on-Ethernet port in my high speed Ethernet switch. My only disappointment is that there seems to be at least 5 circular "ghost" reflections in total darkness that obscure the image when the IR LED's are turned on. I have a security light nearby that goes on low power (dims the lamps to half wattage) for a few hours before it goes out completely; and as long as it's turned on low power with dim light there are no "ghost" reflections. As soon as those lamps go off the "ghost" and there is total darkness then the reflections appear. I've checked and the dome glass is clean inside & out with no smudges. It appears that the IR LED's are reflecting on the inside of the dome glass? Note: I don't have this problem with the similar Hikvision dome camera that I purchased from Amazon about 2 years ago. I have not reported this problem to Hikvision Tech Support because I submitted an inquiry shortly after I purchased my 1st Hikvision camera and they never replied. Also I tried to register as a Hikvision user and the email confirmation feature never worked despite several tries over a 2-day period, i.e. I never received the email from Hikvision with the link to click on to confirm my email address. I tried using 2 different email addresses including my Gmail address but didn't receive the confirmation email from Hikvision and I checked my spam folders and there were no emails there. Hence I'm not a registered user even though I tried to register multiple times.

I have another same model dome, this one died at 2 years old. Both are outside, worked well to spec. But this one died. Tried to troubleshoot but it simply will not power up anymore. Shame. Would love to return it for another but that window has closed.

I was surprised to find that the image quality actually exceeded the nvr's capability. will buy again.

Instead of just plug and play with a Hikvision DVR appliance, we had to connect the camera to a computer first to "activate" the camera so that it had an established password. Then the DVR would recognize it.

Prodotto fantastico! Qualità elevatissima e facilità di utilizzo tramite app. La Rilevazione di movimento con notifica sul cellulare funziona benissimo. L'infrarosso è molto luminoso e sembra quasi giorno. Attenzione solo all'alimentazione POE perché richiede injector a 48v in standard, non vanno bene quelli comuni tipo alimentazione access point

Excellent camera, very robust build quality. Having used Foscam cameras for some time I can honestly say that these are much better quality and feel professional - the software on the camera is easy to use and offers features that you would expect for CCTV applications (something Foscam cameras lack). Easy to install with some nice touches such as an adhesive drill template which makes the install so much easier if you are at the top of a ladder! Picture quality is decent for the price and the night vision gives a clear view. Some of the negative reviews left here relate to the software, however in my opinion these cameras (and any other IP camera) are best suited to a professional software package. I use these cameras with a Synology NAS which has dedicated compatible software for Hikvision devices - combined, this offers a faultless and reliable 24/7 recording solution. Highly recommended!

j'ai cherché durant de longs mois une camera capable : - de fonctionner en PoE (c'est bête d'imaginer un instant que les cameras cessent de fonctionner lorsque l'electricité est coupée : donc PoE + onduleur). - d'une bonne qualité d'image - d'un prix raisonnnable.. et, sur ce point, ça reste un réel investissement, car ces cameras ne sont pas données !MAIS : j'ai longtemps cherché dans les catalogues de marques plus habituelles pour moi (D-link, linksys, trendnet...) et la facture s'elevait a 400euros !!!!Mon constat : aprés une semaine d'usage, celle-ci est trés bonne, voire parfaite (j'attends de l'avoir possédée plus longtemps avant de me prononcer sur sa perfection ou non) : l'image est excellente, les fonctions plethoriques, le prix imbattable, la qualité perçue trés bonne (metal).J'ai vu un commentaire disant que les notifications n'arrivent pas par email.... je vais verifier ça ; si cela se confirme, il est vrai que c'est un reel defaut... mais j'ai du mal a le croire, ca me semble tellement gros. J'essaierai de poster pour confirmer/infirmer au cours des jours prochains.Edit du 5 janvier 2017 : il y avait effectivement un probleme avec les notifications. CE probleme est réglé par les dernieres mises à jour (Baseline Firmware_IPC_R6 series_En_V5.4.4 161125)... Ma caméra fonctionne parfaitement , et les options de détections sont pléthoriques (mouvement, intrusion dans zone définie, franchissement de ligne).

Come ho scritto nel titolo ha un'ottimo dettaglio ed una grande risoluzione, in modalità diurna è strepitosa, la deformazione ottica da grandangolo non inficia il dettaglio, di notte l'illuminazione IR in dotazione è limitata a 5-8 metri, consiglio un illuminatore esterno.

This camera works great with my Hikvision DVR (which supports one IP camera). Of course there is a minor amount of configuring involved, such as the colour and hardware setup. One issue i found was when i connected it to a poor network cable (such as CAT5 instead of CAT5E,) i was getting a terrible connection to my network and therefore my DVR which kept connecting and disconnecting. After upgrading the cable, it worked perfectly every time.The image quality is a lot better than the analogue cameras regardless of the resolution. I can now see faces and licence plates as they pass the street. Lets me record at 22FPS too!Over all, I'm really pleased with this camera
