I usuallY only leave reviews when I am really pleased with a solution and this is the case with this bike rack. I did not realize when I purchased it that it’s for two bikes, which means you are paying $25 per bike to rack it on your roof.ProsInexpensive optionEasy to installSolid (they have heft to them)Flexible positioning of bikes on roofSuper quiet (our old tray based bike rack produced a lot of wind noise at high speeds)Plenty of space for 2 more bikes or a narrow rooftop carrier. We have the max size one and you can carry one bike with it.ConsNone so farSo some tips. You need to make sure your universal roof bars are 36” apart at a minimums (this is the max spacing for most roof top car carriers). This is because unlike other solutions that have a tray, the front fork needs to attach to the front back and the back tire needs to attach to the back tire. While bikes usually have 40-42” wheel gap, you only need 36” because the front fork holder leans a good two to three inches forward.

Red's my favorite color. Bought these to mount my bike on my tacoma's bed rack. I was hesitant to drive on the freeway going 70mph with these on but they held up great.

The mounts did not fit the rack I used, there were only two options for the sliding rail-mou ts and neither fit. Luckily, i was able to fashion my own way of mounting them to the rails I have and they works great. However, they are quite noisy and the QR skewers dont fit snugly in the mounts so they rattle during transit. A spacer or guide would be helpful to mitigate this.

I'm giving it a 3 because I had to order different hardware to secure it. It does what I need it to. I am slightly annoyed that it discolored within a week of attaching to roof rack. The fork mount is now a bronze color.

Sturdy. However, i added additional support using flexible sling cable to the crossbars.

Am currently using these on a cross country trip and before I even left my house the back tire strap broke off. I used a bungy to clamp down the wheel instead and after 1.5k miles the bikes have held up but its disappointing the straps broke within a mile of first using the rack. Other than that I would say the set works, but you're better off getting a set with a working back tire strap.

Easy to install, strong and firm hold.

I got these for the back of my truck attaching to the board across the bed.My plan was to remove the wheel and transport them that way.The clips are aluminum and well constructed.You must have quick release hubs for these to work.
