Excellent!
We don't have a dishwasher as there's just 2 of us. Recently I noticed 100s of green fibres in the bottom of the bowl after washing up. These are almost certain to end up inside a fish or some other creature so I decided to look for something natural and I found these. The sponge is made from wood pulp and cellulose and the scourer is coconut hair. Let me tell you that they are fantastic, leave no residue and are every bit as good as those awful green scourers.

Good in so many ways
I bought this because I was sick of the nasty plastic ones that disintegrate in the heat and shed microplastics into the environment. I'm very pleased with my purchase so far. I love the natural fibre and the product is robust and good in hot water. I wanted something that wouldn't end up in land fill and this is totally compostable once it's no longer usable. Good grip and large enough to cut in half if smaller ones are needed. Not horrendously priced either. The pack I got will last me at least a year if not more.

Pretty good sponges
These are pretty good sponges. They clean fine just like regular sponges. They're not my favourite sponges as I prefer the bigger thick regular yellow sponges and these are thinner but they work fine. For me they sit somewhere between the cheap packs of 10/20 sponges and the more expensive thicker yellow ones. Considering they're biodegradable eco sponges though I think they've done a pretty good job.

Natural Dish Washing foam scrubber
Reasonably priced, works exactly the same as its oil based more usual cleaner. Good for the environment and gets your dishes clean. Make a good choice!

Total rubbish!!
These are complete rubbish!! They just disintegrate as you're using them, even from first use! I've tried three now in case it was a problem with what I was using them on but I now have white bits all over my kitchen from just cleaning work surfaces!! I'd give zero stars if I could! No wonder it's only a 14 day return policy!

Much better than usual scourers. Versatile and robust.
Good to have a reliable sponge. It's durable and easy to use and clean afterwards. Better than any other sponge I've used. Will buy again.

A sponge of two halves...
Not sure about this pack of 9 eco-friendly biodegradeable sponges from In Small Steps, which arrive in a shallow recyclable kraft cardboard box. They feature 2 different surfaces - one wood pulp cellulose, the other coconut fibre. The coconut fibre is non-scratch - which is good - and works well whether you're cleaning or washing up. It's gentle yet powerful and very fibrous. The white cellulose side I feel works less well as it's not nearly so robust and sheds a little if you're using it to clean countertops. The price point seems okay but honestly I'm not sure I'd get these again. I very much like the fact that these sponges can be cut up and put into the compost bin but overall I'm not sure the more friable cellulose sponge combines well with the much more durable coconut husk side.

A superb eco sponge that cleans well without using harsh chemicals
Fantastic to at last find an eco sponge that cleans well. The delivery was superfast (came next day without using prime delivery service) and was beautifully packed. I found that the ergonomically S shaped sponge was easier to hold in the hand and great for getting into corners. The coconut side cleaned off rust marks from my worktop (left from a cast iron pan) without scratching and without using bleach type chemicals which is a first for me! In fact I found that it is best not to use strong chemicals to ensure the white cellulose sponge will last time after time.
