Great product!

I wasn’t too sure what to expect with these but I imagined an oval-shaped hydrocolloid patch like the little circles dots I’ve used for spots recently. These are actually much, much thicker than the usual dots. They’re also a lot larger, so they’re better for larger areas of concern if you’ve got spots or blocked pores. These are designed to “remove the toughest impurities from the pores, like blackheads or whiteheads, thanks to a high adhesion to dirt and dead cells. Skin is left softened and rejuvenated”. I’m not fully sure how hydrocolloid patches to do, as I thought most spot dots just help with spots themselves, rather than cleaning out pores. The idea is to “extract dirt and dead cells”, so any areas that are congested, spotty, prone to blemishes and blackheads, etc, should be suitable. These are large patches, but I’ve found one fits well over the nose if you get blackheads there, and I’ve also cut patches in half to suit smaller areas on my face. I’m glad they cut okay with scissors so these can then be a bit more versatile. These do stick on surprisingly well. I imagined being quite thick that they’d come off more easily, but nope. They adhere well and stick on my skin overnight without moving or coming off. They’re a bit harder to get off though so go gently as it’s more like peeling off a plaster in my opinion than a thin hydrocolloid patch which is pretty much unnoticeable. Sadly I didn’t find these did anything for blocked pores and blackheads. They don’t pull out any blackheads and don’t seem to work behind the scenes to reduce them either, at least not for me. They did help with spots a little bit I think, just reducing some redness and helping clear them up a little quicker, but they didn’t work like magic. Very little noticeable difference so I couldn’t justify the price sadly (£8.99 for 7 patches). I was really hoping these would do a better job so I must admit I’m a bit disappointed.

Great Product really do work

I applied the product, slept with it on overnight for a better effect. When I needed to remove it in the morning, it was ripping off a lot of small hairs. A little painful but not unbearable. It did make my skin seem smoother but not necessarily for spots.

I used to buy mine in bulk on eBay from Acnes brand via eBay after discovering them in South East Asia some years back. but I am damn impressed with Compeed. These are so so invisible (I mean none are, but way more than other brands). They also stick to the zit way better and open it right up so you can pop it fully without scarring. Sometimes I even use them just to protect a popped zit so it doesn't get infected if it's a particularly gross one. Only annoying thing is that they come in one size (hopefully they make other sizes in future) and that size is quite big - but I don't mind really, just feels a little wasteful. OH! And the price - they are more expensive than other brands - but with individual applicators for each patch, it's worth not having to use my tweezers to try to get a patch without ruining it!

These are incredible. I could not believe how good these are - they even help with the big itchy spots that gather liquid deep under the skin and create a large red bump. I usually wash my face and leave mine for overnight or sometimes for a couple of days. I find this helps ease the itchiness as well.

As you see from this picture, my ugly pimples are still there and no positive change has been registered since I started using the strips, about 4 days ago now. If it helps, these strips are thin enough to cover the pimples up and put make up on without noticing .

Left these on overnight but they didn't remove much oil. Other brands of patches do it better
