The G.B.S double edge safety razor is my first experience with this type of razor. I found that the quality was fantastic. The razor replacements were very, very sharp and easy to install. The razor handle and head are heavy and have no rough edges or unfinished parts. It doesn't feel cheap. It give a nice close shave.

This is a classic double edge razor that takes a full size blade. I prefer these style razors over the more contemporary multiple blade razors as the hairs get stuck in between the multiple blades make those blades useless or dull much quicker. These type of classic razors are much easier to clean and remove any hairs from as you can remove the blade and wash it out. This razor set comes with 10 blades so it should last you a while, depending on your shaving habits. I prefer this style of razor as it also means less plastic that goes in the landfill compared to disposable razors.

This is pretty good razor for its price. It is basic and not extremely fancy looking, but it is designed well and functional. It is very easy to put the blade on and shave with it. Also easy to remove the blade and wash it. The blade guard makes it so much easier to shave without cutting yourself. Unfortunately, the guard presents a unique problem for me. I had my father in mind who is still using one similar to this but probably decades old, when I ordered this. It turns out he likes to remove the guard from his razor and use blade directly on his skin without the guard. The guard is an inherent part of this razor and so I guess he won’t like this very much. The razor comes with 10 blades, which is nice, but they are kind of randomly dropped in the box together with the razor. It would be nice if they had a little box of their own or stayed tidy in some other way. Unless you have to remove the guard like my father does, this is a pretty good razor for the price.

This razor is nice. The blades that are included are sharp and cut hair nicely. I don't really notice much resistance when using this to shave. The handle of the razor is nice and long, allowing for a better grip. It has a good weight to it, which is important when using a razor like this, as it's supposed to apply the pressure for you. I'd recommend doing parts you don't worry about nicking first, as you kind of need to get used to the technique you use with it. Overall, a nice razor that feels like quality.

This has a very nice weight to it and the overall quality seems very nice. It took me a little while to get used to it over a multi blade shaver, but overall I like it.

My husband uses a nice safety razor and my teenage son wanted to try one. I ordered him this one and he has been using it to learn. It definitely isn't a high quality razor, but it gets the job done. He likes using it and will probably be able to use it for some time until he decides if he wants to invest in a nicer one.I think this is an affordable, budget-friendly safety razor that would be great for a beginner who doesn't want to invest too much for a higher-end razor right away, or for someone who simply can't afford a higher quality one yet.
