The SoftShell air vest looks similar to softshell jackets that are used in show jumping, schooling or hacking. But that is where the similarities end. Our SoftShell air vest comes with the unrivaled protection of a Point Two air bag system. The CO2 canister is tucked away in the pocket with a small port that allows the lanyard to extend to the saddle strap when riding, or to be hidden away when socialising. The SoftShell is designed to be worn together with a body protector for the highest level of safety. When used in some competitions, the SoftShell is required, by the organisers, to be worn with a BETA approved Level 3 body protector, like the RaceSafe ProVent 3.0. Some riders use our vest on its own when not competing, but the choice is yours. Our vests have been tested to be as effective as a typical body protector.
