Best case for itx motherboards and hi density systems. Very clever layout. Im running an 6790k, 7 pro rev 2 cooler and 6 - 3TB hhds and havent had any over heating issues with 24/7 running. If you take out 2 of the hhds you can also fit a full length GPU like a 1080.

Small and perfectly formed. No slot for a DVD drive, but that's a price to be paid for the size. My only gripes would be: Fans are not PWM (though speed can be switched) Internal screws appeared to have been put in when the paint was not hard and it was difficult to remove them without stripping the heads. My build was a replacement for my old Core2 Duo PC and I wanted something small enough to be able to pick up and carry into the car and not to be too noisy and it managed to do the job. If you're considering the case get either a short graphics card or a smaller PSU because getting PSU cables past a full size card could be a bit of a challenge. I chose a short graphics card and a full size modular PSU. At the end of it I think I probably wasted the money on a modular PSU as I ended up using almost all the cables. Buying a short cable set seemed to be ridiculously expensive. Cooling seems to be good even running the fans on the slow speed setting.

this case is tiny got my gtx 760 in with evo 212 cooler and corsair gs 800 psu no room left. Makes a nice tiny gaming pc and fits inside tv cabinet :).

I built a mid-range gaming machine into this case, with an Intel i5 4600K, MSI nVidia 970, 2 HDDs, Corsair CX600 PSU (non-modular!), Asus Z97I-Plus motherboard. Pros: * Well built, feels like a good quality case * Small enough, while taking a full size PSU and Graphics Card * Good airflow - PC idles around 35 degrees C and rarely goes above 45 * Would fit an aftermarket CPU cooler if desired, although I used the Intel stock one. Cons: * Fans are only 3 pins. They are intended to be controlled by a 3 position switch on the rear (slow, medium and fast settings). * Screwing in the motherboard mounts was very difficult. * The white version that I bought does look a lot like a microwave or mini-fridge, and I've had a few comments. * As other people noted, there is no way that a modular PSU would have fit in while I have my graphics card in. * 6 hard drive slots, but 2 have to be removed to fit in the graphics card.

+accommodate normal sized psu, huge air cooler and long gpu up to 31cm. (Bracket needed for small for factor Psu, short cable recommanded in any case, fractal support is more than pro as I almost stripped one screw of the hdd bracket. They sent new ones. Hdd bracket screw might be overtightened just be careful and use appropriate screwdriver. Two intakes fans at the front and one exhaust at the back. Side panel had hole for gpu ventilation as well as bottom hole for psu fan (with dust filter. ) Don't remember the exact size of the fans but it's something like two 80 mm and one 120 mm. No heat issue and full load is at 70c at most Power led is blue on the white version ( was red on the define r4 white mid tower version)

Excellent case, probably the best case I've ever bought. Will definitely put Fractal Design at the top of my list for my next tower case when it comes to updating my desktop PC. I use the 304 to house my Linux NAS/home server so it's on 24/7 and no problems at all.

Very well designed. The surface is quite shiny giving it a very nice look. Cable management up front can be a bit of an issue, I'm using 6 drives, but I can see it also being a problem if you have a large dedicated graphics card. But this is to be expected in a small case. I'd recommend a short non modular ATX PSU, or an SFX PSU. The power (blue) and HDD (white) LEDs on the front right are quite bright. The power socket on the back of the case doesn't have a dedicated switch. The manual isn't clear as to which screw to use where, which could be a problem for first time builders. The 3 internal fans are 3 pin, but there is a swich on the back of the case allowing to change between 3 speeds. My current PSU is quite loud so I can't yet tell how quiet these fans are. I'll update this at a later date.

I'm using this for a NAS, with 6x3.5" drives (mounted with the case mounts), and 2x2.5" drives (mounted on an expansion card). I'm using the Asrock Rack C2750D4I motherboard, so it's fanless, so only the case and PSU fans. The fan controller is very sinple, a 3-way switch selects, 5V, 7V or 12V. I think the front fans are the noisiest, so will look to put a thermostatic controller on there in the future. It's in a living room, and with the TV off you can hear it humming away, with the TV on, you don't really notice it. (It's much better that the previous case.)

Nach einiger Zeit bin ich auf dieses Gehäuse gekommen, auf der Suche nach einem Zuhause für meinen neuen NAS/Home-Server. Wichtig für mich war: - es müssen sechs Festplatten reinpassen - der Airflow ist gut um die Lüfter ruhig zu halten, gedacht war ein Silent-System - ein guter Zugang für den Zusammenbau und bei ggf. späteren Auf- oder Umrüstungen - das Gehäuse sollte gut verarbeitet sein, ich hatte keine Lust auf eine klappernde Blechdose aus China Und was soll ich sagen, das Gehäuse ist ein Volltreffer, alle Punkte werden getroffen. Ein hochwertig verarbeitetes Gehäuse, dass meine Anforderungen spielend erfüllt und dabei auch noch echt gut aussieht :-) Der Einbau ist einfach und "fummelig" zugleich. Die Festplattenhalterungen (drei Halter für je zwei 3,5 oder 2,5 Zoll HDDs bzw. SSDs) können einfach herausgenommen werden, was viel Platz im Gehäuse lässt um das Mainboard, Netzteil und andere Komponenten einzubauen. Die Festplattenhalter, bei Bedarf, einfach erst als letztes wieder einbauen, die HDD/SSD verkabeln und Deckel zu. Alle notwendige Schrauben sind dabei, der Gehäusedeckel, die Festplattenhalter und die Blende über den Erweiterungslots sind mit werkszeuglos drehbaren Schrauben befestigt. Das Netzteil ist wie auf den Bildern zu sehen, an der Vorderseite des Gehäuses untergebracht. Ein entsprechendes Verbindungkabel vom Backpanel aus ist enthalten und auch bereits montiert. Im Gehäuse vormontiert sind zwei 80mm Lüfter in der Front sowie ein 140mm Lüfter an der Rückseite. Diese sind, entgegen meiner Erwartungen, praktisch Lautlos. Selbst bei Vollgas sind die Lüfter nur zu hören wenn man das Ohr direkt dran hält. Die eingebaute Lüftersteuerung hat drei Einstellungen: Vollgas, Halbe Kraft und irgendwas noch langsameres das ich nicht näher definieren konnte da die Lüfter einfach stehen geblieben sind. Ich muss zugeben mich mit dieser aber nicht näher befasst zu haben, da die Möglichen Einstellungen bereits meinen Ansprüchen genügten. Da ich das Gehäuse wie erwähnt als NAS nutze habe ich keine Grafikkarte eingebaut, der Grafikchip der CPU reicht für meine Zwecke voll aus. Daher habe ich keine Erfahrungswerte in Bezug auf den Einbau einer solchen. Man darf aber nicht vergessen das es sich hierbei um ein Mini-ITX Gehäuse handelt. Monströs Große Hardware passt entweder nicht rein oder der Einbau wird entsprechend schwierig. Schaut vorher auf die Einbaugrößen von Radiatoren, CPU-Lüftern und Grafikkarten. Man muss nicht alle drei Festplattenhalter einbauen. Wenn z.B. eine größere Grafikkarte verwendet wird, sollte bzw. muss der an entsprechende Halter draußen bleiben. In anderen Rezensionen war die Rede von scharfen Kanten oder Metallspänen die beim Schrauben herausgefallen sind. Davon kann ich nichts berichten. Bei meinem Gehäuse war alles sauber verarbeitet und entweder so umgebogen das es keine "greifbare" Kante gibt oder nicht vermeidbare Kanten gut entgratet, sodass auch bei vorbei schrammen nichts passiert. Funfact: Das Gehäuse passt perfekt in ein Kallax Regal von IKEA, wenn man den Platz an den Seiten einrechnet der zur Belüftung frei bleiben sollte. So, viel Text. Aber Fazit: Ein sehr gutes Gehäuse wenn man was kleines sucht. Egal ob Office-PC, Gaming-Setup oder NAS-Server. Ein klare Kaufempfehlung!

Belle finition, espace intérieur parfaitement optimisé comparé à une tour où le volume interne est systématiquement gâché... On peut y mettre une grosse configuration tout en ayant assez de flux d'air, une grosse CG rentre sans problème. Boitier quand même un peu bruyant (n'atténue pas énormément le bruit interne). Livré avec des ventilos avant et arrière dont on peut switcher sur 2 positions la vitesse. Très sobre, très compact et très classe en blanc : une réussite ! Peu de concurrents à ce niveau. Bref, un très bon achat malgré un prix un poil élevé ! -20/25% au moins serait le bonheur total. Ah oui, on peut case 6 HDD + 2 SSD avec un peu d'ingéniosité ! Énorme capacité qui convient à mon usage de PC serveur multimédia. 5 ans plus tard, j'en suis toujours aussi satisfait, je n'en changerait pas, sa faible taille et son look sobre et passe-partout (ça ne ressemble pas à un pc, encore moins à un pc bling-bling sapin de Noël énorme qui plus est) sont parfaits pour la longévité et son intégration où que ce soit. Il s'est avéré que le bruit que je percevais venait des vibrations des disques transmis par la carcasse à l'étagère qui amplifiait le bruit par résonnance. J'ai intercalé sous les pieds du boitier des cubes découpés dans du tapis caoutchouc en pneus recyclés. Ça a facilement diminué le bruit par 2, nickel !

Sono rimasto stupito dalla qualità, oltre che dall'estetica, di questo case. E ho anche un Silverstone di simil prezzo a casa, però oggettivamente non regge proprio il confronto con questo Fractal, altre plastiche. Dal vivo si può dire che arreda... Studiato veramente bene, raffreddamento ottimo con aperture d'aria nei punti giusti e filtri inclusi, ventole preinstallate con regolatore (solo al massimo fanno rumore), possibilità di montare praticamente di tutto lato dissipatore, VGA e alimentatore. Non fa rimpiangere un case più grande, è ottimo per gaming, dopo averlo studiato per bene meglio di roba come l'ISK600 che costa meno ma non è allo stesso livello nemmeno come raffreddamento (basta guardare anche solo l'apertura laterale per la VGA). A parte tutti gli elogi che posso fargli vi dico la cose a cui stare attenti: - non è compreso l'adattatore USB3---USB2, quindi se la vostra mobo non supporta USB3 dovete comprare un adattatore come il SilverStone G11303050-RT o altri (quello che costa meno è ok, sono tutti uguali se funzionano). - potenzialmente ci vanno molti HD\SSD, ma finché è montata una sola gabbia per hard disk è tutto comodissimo, con 2 meno, con la terza dovete proprio rinunciare alle VGA lunghe e sistemare i cavi non è simpatico. Quindi ha sulla carta una gran capienza degli HD però occhio se ne avete tanti. - USB frontali abbastanza dure, manca il tasto reset (inutile che sia) e non si può accedere al pulsante di alimentazione dietro l'alimentatore visto che l'alimentatore è montato davanti. - non è una miniatura! attenzione a questi cubetti perché non sono così grandi ma solo alcuni (tipo l'elite 110) sono piccoli per davvero, ovviamente con i loro limiti.

L'ho usato per costruire un raid application server. Monta perfettamente una scheda Mini-ITX, un alimentatore ATX Standard e ben SEI hard drive da 3.5. Ottimo prodotto

Fractal Design wird nicht umsonst als innovativster Gehäuse-Bauer gehandelt, das schwedische Unternehmen landet Jahr um Jahr auf den vorderen Plätzen bei den einschlägigen Tests. Bei mir kommt das Gehäuse als Server und Speichergrab zum Einsatz, es sind also alle 6 Festplattenplätze belegt: 5x 3,5" und 1x 2,5", die Festplatten-Schlitten bieten hierbei bereits Bohrungen, sodass man kein Extra Einbau-Kit für eine 2,5" Festplatte braucht (eine SSD kommt üblicherweise in diesem Formfaktor daher). - Beim sequentiellen Schreiben auf allen 5 Platten vernimmt man das Laufgeräusch der Platten, allerdings bereits bei 1m Abstand ist dieses nicht mehr zu hören - prima Entkopplung! - Das Gehäuse bietet von Haus aus eine 3-Stufen-Lüftersteuerung, die gut verkabelt ist und bei Bedarf an der Rückseite des Gehäuses bedient werden kann. - In der Vorderseite sitzen 2x 92mm Lüfter und in der Rückseite 1x 140mm Lüfter und bieten genügend Luft-Durchfluss bereits auf der untersten Stufe der Steuerung. Vibrationen und Laufgeräusch sind nicht wahrnehmbar. - An der rechten vorderen Seite hat das Gehäuse 2x USB3.0 Anschlüsse und jeweils 1x 3,5mm Audio In und Audio Out. Die USB-Steckplätze liefern die volle Bandbreite des USB3.0-Anschluss-Standards. Was gilt es zu beachten: Das Gehäuse setzt den Mini-ITX Formfaktor für das Mainboard voraus, als PSU kann ein konventionelles ATX-Netzteil zum Einsatz kommen. Auf der Unterseite ist zur korrekten Belüftung ein Mesh-Einsatz vorhanden. Beim Vorhandensein von 6 Festplatten kann die Verkabelung mitunter etwas kompliziert vonstatten gehen, ich habe der Rezension einige Bilder aus dem Innenleben meines Gehäuses hinzugefügt. Zwei ganz kleine Kritikpunkte (Meckern auf äußerst hohem Niveau): Die Schrauben waren beim erstmaligen Entfernen nur mit einem Schraubenzieher zu lösen, obwohl diese gerändelt sind. Außerdem ist das Lochnetzgitter an der Seite des Gehäuses sehr leicht herauszudrücken. Von mir gibt es 5 Sterne, tolle Verarbeitung und ein wirklich sehr gut durchdachtes Raumkonzept machen es zu meinem Lieblingsgehäuse. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung! Beste Grüße B. Alpert
