Excellent explanations and examples. You don't get lost in endless theory and overspeak. Paul and Alan deliver lessons in such a way as to not leave you daunted and frustrated by confusing concepts and self serving verbiage. Picking up the guitar finally at 55, this book is an excellent addition to my learning toolbox!

This is a very good book to have in your library. This is one that I would pay for. This is a good place to start for beginners.

I bought this book for my son and it had great content for beginners.

This is a rubbish book for a beginner - its full with music .. so it's good only if you can read music which I cannot !! Also doesn't teach you anything about playing the guitar at all. This book is definitely NOT for a beginner - ended up sending back for a refund

I bought this with the Lindo The Ultimate Rock Guitarist DVD to take up the guitar again after a 50 year break. For my purposes the DVD was far better than the book which is a bit too complicated or it might be that DVD learning is better for me than a book.

Bought the download version for kindle. Screen to small can't read the music. Zoom expands the text but not the music. This book is not suitable for the 6 inch kindle
