If you're making green corn tamales this will come in handy for those corn kernals in the masa dough! There was a time I would have shaved them off with a knife but this is quicker and neater. It works for me. I like that the bowl catches the product as well! Oh, should mention the silicone ring around the base that keeps the bowl from sliding around. All nice touches. It's a handy device which I've used several time over now and will invariably use again.

Love this product..makes it real easy and works like a charm...easy clean up...very nice...did dozen ears in about 4 minutes..canister holds about 2 ears before u have to empty it..would highly recommend this...should order the product with 2 different cutters if u have large ears..this is great for small to medium ears..

For the value for the money this corn stripper does exactly what it said to do. eficiency of using it and the easy to use is what gives it five stars. A glides of corn off like it should, therefore it is very sharp.

I love cooking with organic corn in the summer. I'm used to using a sharp knife to cut the kernels off the cobs, but I have a very open mind to finding a better way. Toward that end I purchased this product. It worked well halfway down the corn cob but got stuck when the cob was thicker than the utensil. I didn't return it because I'm still trying to figure out if there is a way to make it work consistently well.

Right after I got this, the doc said my wife was to avoid corn among other specific vegetables due to a digestive problem. So I haven't used it on corn yet, which is what I really got it for. The method for getting the corn off the cob with this is very straightforward plus it captures everything in the glass bottom. Having cut corn off with my chef's knife into a baking sheet and had the kernels scatter, this looked like the best thing and I expect it will be. Just need to have the doc lift his restriction on her diet a bit. She really likes fresh corn and it would be cruel to use this and not let her partake of the results.I gave it 4 stars because what I thought was a garlic holder to use while you use the grater was actually supposed to be used to hold the point of the corn. So I just used my fingers. It grated it very nicely but also grabbed the skin on my thumb when I should have stopped grating and didn't. Something to hold the garlic or ginger would help a lot.Clean up was a snap. I used the sink sprayer on the grating plate after I was done, stuck everything in the dishwasher and put it away after the dishwasher cycled.

This tool was better than I expected! I knocked off 4 ears of corn in about 2 minutes, leaving clean cobs and a bowl full of kernels for corn fritters. With my old one you had to basically scrape the kernels off the cob which would be caught in a space below that wasn't easy to recover the kernels from. Highly recommend this tool.Now if they could only come up with a great tool to remove all the silk...

We did several ears of corn getting ready for winter. This was very easy to use. Made the work very quick and easy. This is a great value for the money. I would highly recommend this product.
