Read on how Cessar writes a book
Reviewed by my 9 year old son:I loved the book especially the jokes in it .I like the joke in which 3 legionaries get attacked by asterix and one legionary tells to copy him by saying "coo coo coo" and after being attacked, another legionary continues to say "coo" almost till the end. The first time i read the book it was hard to understand but after reading it very carefully i got to know that Julius Caesar had published a new book.I love the asterix series i like dogmatix the dog he is very small but very brave and strong.I have read 4 to 5 books in this series.I recomend you buying all the books.

Nice
I have been reading Asterix comics for last 30 years. However, this is the first one I read from the new writers & illustrators. I found the comics to be good and almost insync with the classic version in terms of humour and drawing.

... cynical, acerbic and brilliant ...
... a very interesting and a brilliant read . the new authors are certainly living up to the reputation of the two great Masters. Asterix comics have always been my all time favorite. However, if you are new to the folk , i would strongly suggest that Asterix comics are meant for people who think more and to get a great experience, one must be well read to understand the references. The humor is not mere slapstick, it is laced with criticism of the the follies of human nature . In this work , the Authors expose the corruption within the media and publishing houses who 'create' heroes by indulging in 'selective truth' , a poison far more worse that 'fake news' . This is a work to be enjoyed by kids and cherished by adults alike !!!! Kudos !!!!

Disappointing, and that's coming from a die hard fan!
I was one of the very few people who had given the previous comic "Asterix and the Picts" a favourable review. People were disappointed with the new team behind the classic series. But i gave it a chance. So when the Missing Scroll was announced i waited eagerly for it to release. But alas, that is where the disappointment set in for me too. Extremely boring to read and with a very few genuinely hilarious moments, this book makes even "Asterix and the Falling sky" appear to be a genius comic! Fans and collectors, you can still add this in your collection....others can stay away.

Average story line and dialogs - excellent drawings and coloring
Not being one of the Goscinny originals, one can expect that the story and dialogs would be average, and that's what it it. However, I must say that the drawings and coloring are excellent and of the league of Uderzo ... If you are a collector like me who must have just about every book there is on Asterix, then go for it. If you are a beginner with Asterix, I suggest that you start from the beginning (this is the 36th book in the series ... see Wikipedia for the full list of titles).
