Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator

The book was a really good book. I really enjoyed it! This app has really really good quality’s. It has got me enjoying a lot of books because I couldn’t find a good book for me and I found it. It was a so so so so good book. I can’t wait for a next book for me to enjoy!

My 7 year old son absolutely loves this book as it makes him giggle so much! If it makes him giggle then that alone has got to be the reason to buy it. It contains hilarious-made up-words that just has him in stitches but also capitivates him so much so he has read it to the end in a week. Definitely recommended.

As a child I was an avid Roald Dahl fan and had read almost all of his books except this one. As I remembered all the humour that is Roald Dahlas there it just echoes as a bit childish now I'm an adult.However I thoroughly recomend for the lastest set of 7year olds> as I enjoied his books immensely when as our teacher would would read her way through them at the end of a school day. I always got my mum to buy me my own copies.

Clearly I am in no position to review this - but on behalf of my 6 year old (and me 40 years ago) everyone knows that this is a superb book.the reason for reviewing, however, is that I got it as a kindle, and with the audio book option - wonderfully read. My son sat on a long journey listening intently to it for at least 2 hours. And the only sound were the occasional peals of giggles at a particularly funny bit.

The Roald Dahl stories still speak to adult kids like me. However, I've noted that this sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the only weak link in his otherwise excellent corpus of children's books.I will just offer my brief impressions of this book.This story is made up of two halves. The first half focuses on the journey back to the factory. The Elevator links up with a space hotel and Mr Wonka and the Buckets are chased by Vermicious Knids. Once they are back at the factory the story changes gear to talk about the abuses of Wonkavite by the grandparents. The Elevator links both halves of the book because it is used for all the journeys that Charlie makes. However this does not disguise the fact that this book has two distinct halves that do not cohere together.Given Dahl's constant striving for excellence and perfection in his other stories, the writing style is laboured here and lacks freshness. Also, the jokes come off as lame and feeble. Only Willy Wonka holds the book together.As such, this book is not quite as compelling and coherent as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Good book to read and I really enjoyed it. My children love all Roald Dahl books and I have read this multiple of times.

Uma continuação da história da fantastica fábrica de chocolates que é bastante interessante e divertida.Com ela você conhece melhor os pais e avós do Charlie. De fato, é uma história muito criativa.

So much fun in one book should be illegal, the play on words was so much fun and that song of the nanny’s was one of the best political jokes I ever read. Truly a great sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I think the best was the old people and just how much fun they are by being old and grumpy. I just wish there was more of Charlie Bucket’s tale and the meeting of the president
