great gadget for easy pancake making
brilliant! no mess and my daughter who is 14 yrs loved it . Easy to follow but doesn't make a huge amount in one go if you have lots of people but then you just make another batch of batter in it.

A little disappointing but just about functions.
2 mins of vigorous shaking produces a mixture, but it remains pretty lumpy, and if you follow the proportions on the side rather too viscous. Also if you put the indicated amount of baking powder in, it has a tendancy to generate a small explosion of the mixture when you open it.This is not dishwasher-proof, I had just assumed it would be, so I have to confess I did not check. One wash in the machine removed half of the ink from the outside indicating the proportions of ingredients, the rest comes off on your hands the next time you use it. This does not really matter as the suggested proportions do not work, at least not for me - maybe it's just a preference. The screw-top has a pop-off cork-like plug within it to allow you to pour without opening the whole top which requires a surprising amount of force to open. Impossible for the wife and it hurts my thumbs. The problem with the plug is that it is not attached via some hinge or similar so it is just begging to be lost.So in essence you are paying for a glass jar with a hard to open screw top with a plugged hole that allows you to pour, with a coil of wire in it. The same could be achieved with a similar-sized water bottle or jar with a short length of bent coat hanger in it.I have gone back to making the mixture in a bowl with a whisk, so the thing now occupies shelf space. At some point I will have to admit it was a good idea that did not work out, bin it and use the space for something I might actually use.

Measurements have completely rubbed off!
Fun product however the measurements on the side of the glass have rubbed off after a single use and wash :(
