Easy install
Using my staple gun, I was able to put this up in 10 minutes. Amazing to feel the difference in heat and cold with in the attic stair space. Good product!

It helps
This really helps not only to keep the temperature zones separate, but it also helps keep that “hot attic smell” at bay.It has a nice thickness and the zipper works perfectly. It is a little floppy and doesn’t want to stand up on its own, but I was able to add supports.Once supported, it worked great to keep insulation in place. No more insulation falling on my head!It helps!

extra insulation
I'm not sure why every attic access shouldn't be required to have these installed, and by the builders. The contractors who installed my new attic HVAC system strongly recommended it as it will save energy in both the winter and summer. It took me another year to finally get around to it, and I don't know why. Installation was an absolute breeze and it didn't cost very much. You just need to have a construction stapler. The zippers operate very smoothly without any snagging.Even when the builder installed the roof trusses on the inside of the attic accessway, I was able to get a tight enough seal around them and it still opens/closes easily enough. It's relatively thin (well, thinner than blanket or blown in insulation) and won't offer a huge increase in R value, but something is better than nothing and it does block drafts.

SEAL UP THOSE ATTIC STAIRS! Keep the heat in the attic!
100/100This summer and it’s heat have revealed the amount (or lack thereof) of insulation there is over my attic stairs. I’ve never thought about it before, but that one spot is NOT insulated at all! Just plywood over the ladder that folds up into the attic.I HAD to do something! And THIS was it!It’s a simple idea. In fact, I was thinking about constructing similar, then found this pre-made unit. It’s basically a box of reflective radiant barrier that has a zipper door in it to give you attic access. It mounts at the top of the stairs directly onto the attic stairs framing. Using a simple heavy duty stapler and finishing it off with a little duct tape around the edges makes for a great barrier to the heat from the sun trying to kill us.I’m sure it’ll be helpful this winter, too!Ultimately, is it worth the price? Yes

Every house should have these
This helped lower our inside temp significantly. For whatever reason when I open my attic, it always felt like air was flowing up and out. This is not true and I'm sure more air is going through all my old can lights and unsealed vents - I'll get to those too.As my title says, every house should have one of these. We have been having another fun summer with temps over 100F and our AC used to run 20 hours a day. Now we are staying at 77 with normal cycling while it is 112 outside. I even pushed it down to 75 the other day and it got there easily. Previously we were hitting 80-83 inside. I had no clue we were losing so much through the attic hatch.Installation was super easy. I was not expecting it to fit perfectly and neither should you. I had to fold in an inch or two in here and there. I used a staple gun and I'm going to come back with aircraft or aqua seal tape to really seal it up. These are absolutely worth it.

Very easy to install
With how crazy hot the weather has been, any additional help to keep electricity waste down and the house cool is very much welcome.Depending on the setup of your attic ladder, it may be easier for you to staple from the inside rather than from the outside. I did mine from the inside. I think the dimension of this cover is pretty standard for most homes in the US; but still double check yours to be sure.I was surprised by how easily it was to install this. After unfolding it, I simply dragged it up the stairs, did a preliminary fit, then stapled away. It was a one man job and I was done in a few minutes. My attic ladder had shims so I had to staple it off the outer wood bracing. But the whole thing still felt snug and its box form was maintained. Make sure to staple on the edging rather than the aluminum material to avoid damaging the product. All in all, I'm happy with this product as it helps improve the air leakage rating of my home.

Good solution for inside air leak
I put this cover on my attic stairs in my house. Putting it on was really simple – I just used a regular staple gun to attach it to the frame of the stairs. It's easy to open and close, and it's thick enough to keep the cold air out. It seems like a good quality product, and I don't feel any air leaking through.I think it's an easy way to stop cold air from getting into the attic. I can tell the difference after putting it on. I didn't have any problems with it, and I think it's something you should have in your house if there's a big temperature difference between the inside and the attic.

This Insulation Cover Is Keeping My Attic Nice and Toasty, And My Family Nice and Safe
I'm not going to lie, I was a little skeptical when I first saw this insulation cover. It looked kind of flimsy, and I wasn't sure if it would actually do a good job of keeping my house warm in the winter and cool in the summer. But I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. This thing is amazing! It's made of thick, durable material that keeps all the hot or cold air out of my attic. And it's so easy to install, even for a DIYer like me.I highly recommend this insulation cover to anyone. It's a great product at a great price.
