I bought these to light up a small stairwell that is normally fairly dark. They work great, and were a much easier option than trying to install hard-wired LED strip lights with motion detectors. We just stuck these to the side of every other step on the stairs, and they completely light up the stairwell.One nice feature of this specific brand & model is an extra switch setting that enables the motion detection even when there is ambient light. Other similar under-cabinet lights we have used do not have this setting, so they only turn on when it is relatively dark. This extra motion detection setting makes these lights much more useful and consistent with motion detection.

It arrived very quickly. Both lights charged up quickly and very easy to install. They are under my buffet and look really nice.Edit: After a month, I really love these lights. We had an ice storm, power went out and these were perfect. I have an intellectually challenged daughter and no problems, anxiety because the lights were there. Thanks.

These work so well that we've purchased another set. They're perfect for lighting the stairways in our home. No more groping for the light while holding a sleeping toddler, for example, and the light produced is quite sufficient yet soft so that it doesn't wake a baby or blast your own eyes with blinding light. They also work well in the nursery, giving us a bit more light when we check on our little one. We love that they are rechargeable, too--they charge quickly and hold a charge well. In short, great lights that perform well.

Lights only last about a week. Have them set on the lowest light and only to come on when motion activated in dark setting. Love them otherwise, was just hoping to get longer battery life.

I've found these lights are fine when used inside an enclosed space, such as a closet, cabinet or pantry, where they are activated only by opening a door. But in a relatively open area, such as a kitchen, a light placed under a cabinet can be activated unintentionally and needlessly by random traffic (human or canine) within 10 feet. This will drain the battery more quickly than in other applications, causing me to wonder if puck lights would be a better idea under kitchen cabinets.

Update to original review! Just tried a different power cord and all is good. These I can now give these lights 5 stars. They work great and really do provide quite a bit of light!Just as I was going to leave a 5 star review, two of the lights I ordered just stopped charging! I realize that these aren’t expected to last forever, two month longevity is pretty bad. Hope others don’t have this experience!
