My whole life I have had a problem with tartar buildup on my teeth. The dental professionals say it has something to do with the pH of my saliva. I am an obsessive brusher (not excessive). I brush and floss and water pick every day. Even with all that I still get significant tartar, buildup, and I am beginning to have periodontal issues. On a whim I decided to try this toothpaste. I figured it couldn't hurt. After my first use my teeth were noticeably smoother. Like that feeling you get right after a cleaning at the dentist. Very smooth teeth. In addition to brushing, I also have a dental tool to scrape some of the more obvious tartar between cleanings. After using this toothpaste for just a few days I tried using my dental tool on a patch of existing tartar and noticed it was soft. It is normally as hard as a rock. This means the toothpaste is doing exactly what they said it will do. Soften the tartar so the toothbrush can remove it. I have to say so far I am amazed. I will be curious to see what my hygienist says that my next visit to the dentist. This toothpaste is much more expensive than normal toothpaste, but if it continues to work the way it has so far it is well worth the money and a good value. Regarding electric toothbrushes. They recommend the Sonicare toothbrush. I used to use that for many years. However, recently, I have switched to the Braun Oral-B electric toothbrush. I have one that has high velocity, which is what they recommend. I for one find it does a better job cleaning my teeth, but that's a personal preference.

OK here is my impression so far. I use the Philips Sonicare 9000 series on the DEEP CLEANING cycle as recommended by the manufacturer. I brush my teeth twice a day with CREST Regular Anticavity toothpaste, I added a third brushing with TartarEnd. According to my dentist I do not have a lot of tartar or plaque but I do have heavy staining (probably from way to many cups of coffee every day). After 3-4 days I noticed a dramatic change in the overall appearance of my teeth. Just less staining, less black spots (I had a few) and an overall whither healthier looking smile. I am not imagining things both my wife and kids noticed and commented about it. So I am not exactly sure what is happening but there is definitely something happening. I am very impressed so far.

I gave this 4 stars because, in my experience, it doesn't remove tartar, but it does seem to help reduce it. I talked with my dentist about it, and he recommended regular flossing, so I now floss once, and sometimes twice, a day. I've noticed a huge difference since adding flossing to my routine. This is still a great toothpaste to have as part of your daily routine, but I'd recommend following your dentist's advice as well. Most of my tartar buildup was between my teeth, where flossing made the biggest difference. Does it help? Yes. Did it remove my tartar? No. But it definitely helped reduce it.

I find the product works well. The flavor could taste better. But, I would buy again!

I cannot fault the toothpaste completely if it gets people to brush twice daily. However tartar removal is bold claim that simply did not hold true for me. I used two different electric toothbrushes (OralB and Sonicare) along with flossing after every brushing, I saw no significant reduction in the tartar on my teeth after 3 months. I should have just saved the money (rather expensive toothpaste) for those 3 months as it would have paid for a professional cleaning. If the toothpaste is helping you brush twice a day and floss then by all means the expensive price may be worth it. However if you already have good dental hygiene that product is nothing more than a gimmicky waste of money. If you are using this toothpaste with the hope of avoiding the dentist/hygienist stop fooling yourself, save the money you are spending on this toothpaste and let a professional hygienist remove the tartar for you. Your gums and your wallet will both thank you. If you have issues with tartar build up between cleanings talk to your hygienist about it as they will make better recommendations on combating it.

I’ve been using TartarEnd Toothpaste and really like the results so far. My teeth feel much cleaner and smoother after brushing, and my breath stays fresh for a long time. It helps reduce buildup and leaves my mouth feeling very clean. The taste is pleasant and not too strong, which makes it easy to use every day. I also like that it focuses on tartar control, especially for areas that are harder to keep clean. Overall, this is a great toothpaste if you want cleaner teeth, fresher breath, and help with tartar buildup.

First time I found a toothpaste that actually helps my plaque. I have BMS an if I eat one bite of anything I have plaque after just a few days that has improved greatly I am pleased with this product pricy but actually works
