I bought this for my co-worker to show my appreciation and she loved it. She almost cried when the music started playing. So this product makes a wonderful gift. Definitely recommend it.

The lights don’t work and smaller than expected

This is adorable! Easy to assemble!

Bought for a three year old. She can wind it herself. Although not strictly a toy, this carousel is sturdy enough for her to play with, with supervision. She loves the lights too.

I have been a huge fan of music boxes ever since a former boyfriend from my much younger days gave me my first one: a pretty wooden Hummel music box that played, as I recall “Edelweiss.” My favorite music boxes these days are mostly smaller to medium size carousel music boxes. Being a high maintenance sort, I always have had a number of requirements for the music box to be one I’m interested in having. They vary from time to time. My most recent requirements were that the music box must have no less than three horses and be tastefully (tastefully being the operative word here) decorated in an understated pastel shade like the pink carousel in the product description above that the subject of this review. It must have absolutely no shiny (fake or real) chrome trim on it. (I hasten to say that I have no issue with people who like chrome trim on their music boxes. It’s just that I don’t like it on mine.) The music box would have to play “You Are My Sunshine,” a song that’s long been special to me. Oh, and it must play the song in a nice clear, never tinny-sounding, tone. Finally, the music box, with some possible exceptions, wouldn’t cost over $40. And, yes, I was informed by another music box aficionado who doubles as a statistician that my chances of finding a music box that meets every one of my criteria are statistically a hair’s breadth above zero. Well, I am here to report that the statistician, an otherwise brilliant person, was wrong. The music box I found that meets all of my criteria is the pink music box pictured in the above description. And at the present time it’s selling for $29.95, a great value for a quality music box like this one. This music box would make a wonderful gift for any child or adult with a love for music boxes and/ or carousels. I’m very happy with my newest music box.

The color changing works great and the song is fun. My daughter loved it and couldn’t wait to put it out!

The media could not be loaded.  I acquired this carousel music box through Amazon Vine. I was interested in the product for my baby daughter's bedroom.It came in two parts. Just have to screw them together, the base fits right into the top. Then keep turning to wind it up.There's a small power switch in the canopy of the carousel to turn the lights on/off.Felt bottom to protect your table or nightstand, and I suppose provide more friction so it stays in place better than a smooth plastic base would.Overall very cute. Who doesn't enjoy this tune?I just wish the lights were a little less flashy, maybe they should blink more slowly or something.But if they keep her awake, I'll just turn them off!
