My 11 yrs is not a big water fan. I was skeptical about buying this product, but I'm glad I did... he drinks at least 3, 16 Oz bottle water because of this... I only gave 4 stars because he's not a fan of some of the flavors. Specifically pineapple. The orange flavor lasted 3 weeks... I hand wash everything, including the pods each day.I've seen on other websites, saying there's no flavor or the pods gives off no flavors. My son said the flavors are activated by pulling up the pods.

So it got here today and when I tried pineapple it just made me dizzy and not taste like nothing I pulled it up to “activate” the pod but still nothing I was expecting more from it I tried all the flavors and didn’t work they all just had a faint bad smell and taste like normal water and not whatever pods I added I would not recommend

My son keep asking me to buy it for him it’s good battle but to expansive

Most negative reviewers don't seem to understand how this works or have unreasonable expectations. Without a medical explanation of Gustation and Olfaction, we all know that scent and taste are very interconnected. The scent basically tricks your mind into thinking the water has flavor. It seems real enough, but don't think it will be perceived by you like a powdered drink mix or other flavored waters. It produces a "hint" of flavor in your mind - Like a few drops of lemon in a glass, NOT lemon drink mix. A couple tips based on my positive experience thus far: 1) DON'T cut the scent rings like some reviewers! They are NOT meant to split in half when pulled up! There are pre-drilled holes to help pass air through the ring when you pull the ring up slightly to drink; 2) You'll know you've pulled the ring up high enough/properly when you get a "bubbling" effect when you sip. This helps pass air through the ring right to where your nose is (best results); 3) Rings are good for about 4 days. They'll last a couple more days but fade fast after the fourth; 4) Make sure you push the ring back down when not in use to prevent the scent from drying out as quickly; 5) The ring itself works better when it's at room temperature, just like scent from any other food or drink is more prevalent when it's warm (or at least room temperature); 6) To help increase the life expectancy of the scent ring but have it work best when in use I recommend refrigerating the bottle overnight, but keeping it out at room temperature throughout the day/when in use; 7) Use only filtered or otherwise purified water! Smelly tap water + the air blowing across the ring like it's supposed to will only produce a fruit-flavored bad tap water experience (yuck!)
