There are a few ruler feet available and many of them are quite costly. This item is a great way of trying out a different machine sewing technique - as long .as you already have a good idea of how to use it. Solidly made and fits the machine well though it can be a little fiddly to set to the right height. Once you have the hang of using this foot it does exactly what you need it to and here's where the product loses at least one star for me. the issue is the lack of instructions. Silesian Quilt tries to help out with instructional videos on their website but these are in Polish, not surprising really as this is where the product comes from. So, if you've never used this sort of sewing foot before you are left with the prospect of trawling the internet for instructional videos in English from other makes to work out how to get the foot to the right height so that it will move freely. I realise that the lack of instructions is a factor in the exceptional price, but perhaps a brief sheet of machine fitting instructions in English could have been added for relatively little extra cost.
