Checked other suppliers which were 3-4 times as expensive. Ordered this one. Fast delivery. Plugged it in and it works very well. Picture and sound.I got it to connect my new computer that has a good graphics card to my older monitor.Just note that if you have a graphic card you need to use the HDMI port on this to connect. if you haven't , then connect it to the HDMI port in your motherboard.

New life for an old monitor
Had an old monitor around and wanted to use a raspberry pi as CCTV, it worked a charm

Straight forward and that USB port for supplying that extra power on equipment that may require it is very handy especially for using on a Raspberry Pi.Tho the glossy finish is a little annoying would of been nice if it was matte as is quite the finger magnet.

Do not purchase
Put the VGA cable in and it didn't work so I tried to remove the cable from the HDMI adapter and the bolts that hold them in place locked the VGA cable in place. I ended up breaking the VGA cable just trying to disconnect it from the adapter. Waste of money buying it and ended up costing more money to buy a new VGA cable

Works out of the box
For its price, this is a good solution to the HDMI to VGA problem. Has some trouble with casting the entire contents of the computer screen, with some cut off on the edges. Otherwise, works with ease. Can't say yet as to its durability.

Amazing Product! Exactly what i wanted
I bought this to use with my Raspberry Pi 3B to use on an old VGA monitor and it works like a charm! One really nice addition is that it comes with an audio patch cable and a microUSB to full-size USB cable (about 1 foot long, which was perfect for my use). Here's a great tip that worked out great for me: This device requires a 5V DC input, so just take the short included cable and plug one end into the device and the other end into one of the USB ports on the Raspberry Pi! (Make sure your power supply is the recommended 5.1V and 2.5 amp power supply)

Works as advertised!
I used this adapter to switch a DisplayPort on a graphics card to an old VGA monitor. Worked without any issue. Keep in mind this is a passive device meaning it is unpowered. Some devices can have a problem seeing the device with a passive converter.Overall a positive experience, would buy again if need it again.
