Very comfortable
These are the best hiking shoes I’ve ever bought, and I’ve gone through quite a few as a trail runner and backpacker. Great fit, good traction and very comfortable! Drained will also.

quality
show as shown- very good traction- first go was a slippery mountain trail post rain- held up really well. also very good cushion- more than most running shoes

Golf shoe option
The sole is just enough stiffer than the Nova 2 so that with it's aggressive tread pattern, this is a great golf shoe, and much more comfortable than most golf shoes!

Fairly Sturdy Build And Comfortable
Better built than most trail shoes out there. Very comfortable, maybe too cush. I usually like my trail shoes a little stiffer for stability. Haven't really tested traction in wet or sloppy conditions but has been fine on the dry trail with moderate loads. Overall pleased with the quality and fit. I need a wide toebox and narrow heel and was worried these might not work but they're fine.

Plenty of Grip, Comfortable, Brethable
The media could not be loaded. I bought these shoes to hike Half Dome wich is 17 miles trough gravel, dirt, some sand, rocks and a steep 45° inclince. I previously did a 22 mile hike with Columbia boots and got 7 blisters on my feet. After a long researched I decided to go with these. They are comfortable right out of the box no break in needed. I wore medium weight meril wool socks. They have plenty of grip and breath well. I had no issues walking trough wet gravel, wet stairs, mud, and rocks. Keep in mind they are not boots so you have no ankle support. Climing the cables was a breeze due to how much grip they have. Best part of all no blisters. Highly recommend them.

Fantastic fit, great running shoe - I love Merrell...
I wear these every day - yes, the soles do wear out after 6-8 months, but to me, thats a small price to pay for a sneaker of this quality for every day wear.

Really comfy but geez the durability of the sole is the worst
First off I’ve had these shoes for 6 weeks. When I first put them on it was oh nice! These fit good. Plenty of arch support and room in the toe box. I have a high arch normal width foot. I tend to toe off heavy on my foot strike. But these fit good and have ample cush. Didn’t feel any abnormal rock strikes.I like the fit and they are a decent looking shoe. But my only gripe is the wear. I have never had a shoe wear out so quickly. That is 6 weeks of wear with under 20 miles a week. Seriously @vibram I always have great things to say about their soles and have had many happy miles on other models. But I will not be buying these again because of the sole. The uppers are basically new still. I could resole but is it worth it? 3 stars for comfort

Nice trail runners.
First off, absolute score as I got them almost half price...Thank you!!Not the lightest trail runner but I have my arcteryx for ultralight. These however are comfortable, footbed feels contoured to match foot.Impressed to find gaiter loops and velcro.BUT....the main reason for choosing these is the vibram sole and tread pattern, I wish all trail shoes had this as standard.Grips well in the wet, mud, rocks, gravel etc etc...Let's get out there and put them through their paces to see how they fair against others I've owned

Good fit and price for a wide foot
I like how these fit my wide forefoot in their standard width sizes (ie. I don’t need to buy an EE). Only thing I’m trying to adjust is a bit of heel lift, so working on some different lacing options.

Not like a regular nova
The ‘tactical’ version is not quite the same fit. I find my heel falls out often. The laces are just ok. I just wanted an all black version of the nova shoes I love. This isn’t it.

Great hiker
I had another pair of Nova 3 in a different colour scheme. I liked them so ordered another pair in the Olive Green. I was pleasantly surprised that the quality was better than the first pair I had. More padding around the ankle and heal and overall seem to be of higher quality. The insoles in my last ones slid around as well, but these ones are secure. The cushioning and grip are fantastic, and I really like the look. I have no idea what the velcro tabs are for on the heel, but they don't have any impact on regular usage.

Very comfortable.
Fit very well and no break in time required. Got them for the Camino in Spain. Combo of comfort, and hard wearing vibram soles make them my favourite walking shoe for no mountain terrain.
