This does not work for training a dog. The remote turns itself off after a minute. To actually use it, you push the button (for shock or tone) and it wakes itself up to the intensity screen, where you have to put in the intensity. Only then can you shock or tone. Of course by then the dog has moved on from whatever he was doing wrong and wouldn't have a clue as to what he was being shocked for. Also, half the time, the signal wouldn't even be received.

Works very well. Don’t let the rubber tips scare you away. This thing packs more punch that one could ask for. Try it on your hand before it goes onto your fur baby.

Disappointed in this purchase. Shock doesn't really work very well on large dogs. I did not see anything to suggest dog felt it
