The best there is!
My Le Creuset skillets ALWAYS have everything stick to them and I have tried EVERYthing over the years. This worked! I also bought a 15 inch Amazon Basics cast iron skillet, seasoned it 3 times with this, and it is the best! NOTHING STICKS!! I highly recommend it!UPDATE: Jan, 2020: My husband used the self-cleaning cycle on the oven...where I store my 15 inch cast iron pan!!! It stripped all the seasoning right off my pan! I re-seasoned 3 times again with Larabee...Good as new! Nothing sticks again and gave it back it beautiful black coating! Just bought another puck!2 pucks seasoned a 15 inch pan now 6 times, plus all the in-between cleanings and seasonings (used many times a week), a cast iron huge griddle 3 times, 2 Le Creuset pans 9 and 12 inch 3 times, plus a decorative little cast iron pan. I still have 1/2 a puck left, but I re-ordered so I wouldn't run out!

OUTSTANDING PRODUCT (FIRST TIME USER)
First time have this product. I am professional chef my self.I am start to use Lodge cast iron skillet/dutch oven. I am trying LARBEE PUCK product to season my new skillet/dutch oven and result is better then canola/vegetable/olive oil/grapeseed oil. Those all the oil i use in cast iron is still sticky after use. Then i switch to LARBEE PUCK not stickiness at all. and result is very smooth finish.when i received my new cast iron skillet/dutch oven. i wash my skillet/dutch oven with cast iron soap (which is sell in Amazon) then follow the all instruction which is written on LARBEE PUCK direction how to season cast iron skillet/dutch oven. Don't skip it. it is 3 step consume time but when you done first time then restore is easy. Result is fantastic i like puck look hockey puck i use just little. use lint free cloth. i bought lint free dish cloth $4.55 18 pack very cheap in walmart you can find Amazon also. TAKE CARE YOUR SKILLET /DUTCH OVEN give some love and you get nice result when you cook. "HAPPY CHEF HAPPY COOKING"

Great for Seasoning of Carbon Steel and Cast Iron Pans - Plus Ongoing Maintenance
I have recently begun to get more into using carbon steel and cast iron pans for my cooking. Safer and less potentially toxic surface chemicals to leach into my food is a big plus. Love the fact that you can create a truly non-stick surface with some very simple elements. Bought this to help me with my Matfer Bourgeat pan, which I bought here on Amazon, become non-stick (love, love!). I was having troubles getting it to be non-stick, and this product helped solve the problem. Plus, I've been able to use it on all the cast iron pans I had, but infrequently used because of sticking problems, and they now are wonderfully non-stick and used everyday. It's a great product to help you build the foundation seasoning with in short order, then help maintain it in the long run. I do use alternating layers of either flaxseed oil or grapeseed oil, just to not rely on one product. That's in addition to the cooking what I'm doing. Highly recommend. I like the puck version better than the stick version. While it may be counterintuitive, the puck version is easier for me to use, and it uses less packaging, which is better for the environment overall. Worth having in any seasoned cookware maintenance aresenal.

SILKY, fine, Beautiful Iron with non-stick cooking, a Casti
FABULOUS Cast Iron seasoning results!A little really DOES go a long way.We restore vintage Cast Iron.We had a couple of pieces that were difficult due prior damage, and one that had SIGNIFICANT heat damage. The Dutch Oven that had such horrible heat damage had even started to peel layers of Iron.We agreed to give it ONE shot to season. I had had really good success with Larbee Swipe on my problematic Iron Mountain Skillet. So we decided to season my "new" Erie Dutch Oven with the Swipe.Looking at the sad pitiful Birmingham Stove & Range Dutch Oven with it's pits and peeling iron, we decided to go ahead and give Larbee a chance to prove itself and that poor dutch oven a chance to cook again.Round one was pretty amazing.Round two and we decided that the BSR dutch oven might have a chance.Round three found a solid seasoning.Given that the iron was peeling... we went for round four, and had one REALLY UGLY but REALLY SEASONED BSR dutch oven.Mom cooked chili as the second item in that dutch oven and the seasoning is holding up beautifully! Even against chili!Admittedly, the fire/heat damage is so extensive that the exterior seasoning will never be normal. But with that much damage? That it took ANY seasoning is amazing. On a side note, my Erie #10 Dutch Oven and lid seasoned beautifully and has a gorgeous gleam of fabulous black cast iron!I would recommend Larbee to anyone! It does NOT take much. We prefer to season no higher that 375°F and generally season at 350°F for at least one hour.As long as you pull it out of the oven after the first 10 minutes and wipe it down really well (like you're polishing a classic car) then return it to the oven and bake for an hour, you will have a beautiful silky seasoning on your cast iron!If you are new to seasoning iron, this is a VERY EASY to use seasoning! If you are an old hat at seasoning, you will fall in love with the results!Hesitant to try a seasoning blend? I would say, try it. Even as a lark. Because you WILL become addicted to the reults! We certainly did!(and to think, I swore I would never use a blend....)Larbee and Crisbee will become a staple of our restoration shop and at any of our sales.

Makes it easy to use cast iron!
Before I bought this, I had a hard time using my cast iron. They weren’t non stick, and they weren’t staying seasoned. As a matter of fact he reason I bought this was because my mid size lodge skillet was flaking black bits into my food. So I took it and my other cast iron pieces, and reseasoned them with Larbee. All look great. It’s now been 2 years since I bought it, and wanted to post a review before I bought another. I took the plastic off both pucks and stuck them back in the container, and just swiped a bit with a paper towel after heating my cast iron. Lasted this long! The only (small) gripe I have is that my husband is not a fan of the lard smell when I apply to a cleaned skillet, so I’m going to buy the non lard style this time.
