A great piece for the worker or handyman.
I give the Ronan my highest recommendation. This is an unsolicited review by an experienced good ol’ boy.I have a couple dozen pocket knives, but only have one with a slide lock. I like it quite a lot. It’s important to be able to get out, use, and put away my knife with one hand.Feels solid and too heavy for nice slacks or lightweight shorts. But this is NOT a gentleman’s knife. It is a SUPREME handworker’s work knife. Under 60 bones! The slide lock is responsive and very sure. It locks up with wonderful overkill. The blade’s 14C28N steel is hard to beat, even compared to today’s particle steels, IME, and there is plenty of it at .138” wide. Won’t rust, but mine is coated.I chose the natural G10 with black blade. I’d love to have a red one. Next summer.Unless Bestechman sends me a coupon code for a good discount.A flat grind is appropriate for a work knife, stronger for prying and less likely to warp under twisting cuts, like making a walking stick or gouging a hole (some tasks are still best served with a fixed blade). Very good factory edge.My only complaint is the slide lock is difficult to use with a sore thumb. Liner locks and frame locks are even worse, pulling wounds open. The lock spring is very strong, and requires a healthy thumb. This may sound trite, but the primary thumb is a handworker’s oft injured body partDemko’s Shark Lock (aka super lock) is the only lock that I prefer to a slide lock. The ergonomics of the Ronan are fabulous and it’s a delight to use; a full mid size @ 8”, reassuring heft of 4.3oz making nice balance, smooth bearings and superb cutting ability. Fidget factor of 9. The leaf shaped blade is functional. I just love this knife, my personal second favorite. If your work or play benefits from a bulletproof, high quality, mid-size work knife that will possibly last a lifetime, you need to look no further, even should your budget allow. This Bestechman punches above its class, and won’t make you cry when it needs replaced. If you’re in a position where you need less brawn and want more classy precision, go with a Civivi Vision with its unmatched ergonomics, irresistible super lock, reverse tanto blade, and scales in several delicious flavors. Ultem on black Nitro V is my favorite pocketknife; tight, solid and strong, but not built for heavy use like the beefy Ronan. The Bestman Ronan is certainly the best work knife I’ve used so far at any price. I prefer it to my Civivi Baklash or Vexer, Kershaw Natrix, CJRB Feldspar, Cold Steel Code 4 or trusty Buck 110.And it’s a looker, too.I expect the price is gonna go up. Maybe buy 2 or 3.

Poorly Made and Even Poorer Customer Service
I had high hopes for the Ronin. I've bought a lot of knives over the years for edc, hiking, hunting, etc. This one I can assure you is not worth the price nor do you get any type of customer service when issues or questions arise.Issue 1: The lock bar lever was extremely hard to use to open the knife. So much so it got stuck and I had to use the thumb stud. I tried working through the actions in hopes it would break in and still had issues two days later.Issue 2: When closing the knife the release bar lever got stuck or was extremely difficult to push the bar down using my thumb and pointer. I often would have use both hands and play around with bar to get certain angle then force down to flip to close. When flipping to close the blade would sometimes catch halfway down and I would have to manually push to close.Issue 3: I put the complaint of the issues for the knife 2 days ago and no response. How difficult is it for you as a company to send an email or text. Not only that but 2 days to do so... There's only so many problems a knife can have. Reply back with please send back and we can send new one or we can have you return and give refund. Instead they don't even respond in two days. That's just poor service for such simple problems.Issue 4: I tried sliding it in my jeans pocket. The clip was so tight it snapped when putting it in. I've never seen a clip that tight you can't slip it into the pocket and secure it. The clip was so tight it marked the G10 green handle.Overall the quality and service is not worth the money, the time, the hassle, and headache.Spent days trying work the lever bar action to open and close knife. Spent time trying to reach out to customer service to go over issue. Spent two days waiting for a response that never was given. The product is so poor that it broken when putting it on jeans. Then had to call Amazon to help solve issues. In the end is it worth all that... no. I bought a Civivi Praxis, Mini Praxis, and a Spiderco Tenacious around the same time. They are far better for same price range.

STURDY KNIFE !
Very nice detail and super sturdy knife. Lock a little stiff but lightens up when broke in. Great budget knife.
