Pure Hungarian goose down duvets provide complete freedom of movement in bed, only possible because only a down duvet follows the contours of the human body and immediately adapts to changes in the contours. Our Hungarian goose down duvet provides a lifetime of comfortable and efficient use. While other covers need to be tucked in or even clutched tightly to guard against winter cold, a down duvet always covers the body evenly, warmly, and above all, lightly. These duvets are stitched with a ?baffle box? construction. Square boxes are separated by a series of 1" internal fabric walls. These walls permit the duvet to expand so that the down can reach its maximum loft, allowing even distribution while still holding the down securely in place. The casing has a 270 high thread count for superior strength and a soft delicate finish it is almost custom made for pure down. Our Hungarian goose down duvets, offer cosy and absolutely superb sleeping comfort for those who value a good sleep.

Luxurious warmth without weight - an absolute delight to sleep under.
I bought this product over five years ago, and its just gone on getting better and better. The duvet is very soft, very light and will nestle round you really gently - I'd been used to a heavier feather and down quilt which rustled and sank round me (and sometimes I'd get a bit tangled up in it), and the lightness of this one felt a bit strange, at first, I wasn't used to the lightness and the warmth - and it was incapable of tangling or twisting - just sheer, well behaved luxury. It's very well constructed, the stitched chambers have prevented any migration of the down and there's been no leaking of down - the cotton cover is good quality and well stitched. A lot of work has gone into this product. When it was new, it was a bit flat, but plumped up with a good shake, and continued to plump up over the next few nights. Each chamber is well filled with down, and the duvet has kept its loft even though it's been in continual use, all year round, for over five years. I confess I haven't had to wash it - the bedlinen I use is heavy egyptian cotton, and the duvet itself has stayed fresh and clean, so I can't comment on washability, although it can be washed - but you'd probably need to use a commercial sized washer. The cover on mine has a 'satin stripe' from top to bottom, so no problems knowing 'which way is up' when changing the sheets. The only maintenance it needs is a shake now and again to puff up the loft - and it gets this on linen change days. Other than that it looks after itself. It's a really light, luxurious duvet and will last for many more years.

Snug
Insulation in modern houses or extensions is usually so good that even in winter some, like my wife and me, find even a 10.5 tog duvet a bit too warm, especially in a mild winter like this has been so far. So we opted for this one not because we wanted to double up the two in winter but to 'downsize' (sorry about the pun) from a 10.5 to something a bit cooler. This fitted the bill exactly as we can use the 9 tog in winter and the 4.5 at other times. So we took the plunge. When it was unpacked, the duvet looked painfully thin and took several days to loft up fully. Gradually it felt warmer as it did so and is fine and warm. The quality of the cover is very good with piping finishing the edges off to a high standard. The outer cover is fairly thick to avoid losing down but doesn't feel heavy.Overall, I like it even though it seemed a bit pricey. There's no reason to think it won't last a long time so hopefully it will be a good investment.

WOW!
Always had a duck feather and down duvet but when our old one needed replacing friends told me that Goose down duvets were the best. Did a lot of research on this and came to the conclusion that Hungarian goose down ones were the very best.I ordered this one from Amazon which was coming direct from a manufacturer called Viceroy. It arrived superfast but was delivered in a rather tired brown old box which clearly was meant for something else,I couldnt make out the writing on it as it was so faded.Oooh er I thought this doesnt look good.On opening it there was the duvet in a really lovely storage bag with Cuddledown written on the side. There was no advice slip in the box so I thought what should I do to return this if I dont like it! However I took the duvet out and put it on the bed, it seemed to plump up very quickly and the cover looked very good quality.I can honestly say this duvet is AMAZING! Love it, love it, love it! It is light and unbelievably warm and toasty. The cover is so soft and not noisy crackly like some I have experienced. This duvet is not just the best Hungarian goose down I would put it in a class of its own and say it must be the creme de la creme. Both myself and my husband agree it has been well worth investing in and we look forward to many cold winter nights to come.I think if you are hesitating in getting one think no more you really have stumbled on the very best!

Fab duvet, worth the money
This duvet is great. Pure goose down so, even though expensive, good value for the quality. Let's face it, how many other items in the house do we use for so many hours of the day? It seems to wrap you up as you sleep. I'm a dreadful insomniac but this warm and light duvet certainly seems to have helped in the few days that I've had it. One other reviewer noted the 'smell of goose' so I was waiting to see if this was the case; yes you can smell it faintly but I think I only really noticed it because I was 'sniffing' for it so don't be put off by that.Adding into this review some time later (June 2013) ... still really pleased with the duvet but the main irritation with it is that the poppers that hold the two different duvet weights together are too few and too small as they do pop apart inside the duvet cover.
