GREAT FOR OLDER CHILDREN
I was thrilled when WALL-E was on my doorstep yesterday evening. This has to be one of the cutest little robots I have ever seen. WALL-E is very easy to opperate ( it was harder to get out of the box then it was to get him started ). The packaging it really cute, the robot is "very" fast ( good idea to make sure you know where he is going to go and move things out of the way first before giving the command )and a lot of fun to see him running off across the floor doing tricks, the remote is really nice and seems sturdy for drops, and the robot itself is so cute that you feel he is sitting still with no commands looking at you. The detail of the toy is really wonderful. They went way out of their way to make WALL-E look so alive with the rust spots, dirt marks, and moveable fingers. I would not even think of this for a child under the age of 6. It is a very sensitive toy and even the slightest drop I fear might be the end of one of his eye's or arm's. Outdoor play would also be a real no no as well but maybe on a smooth driveway or very wide sidewalk ( I would think twice about the sidewalk since the robot goes so fast ). If you are a toy collector then this would be a really great addition to a collection. WALL-E is heavy and a really cute robot but he does have a real problem trying to go on carpet. If you put a heavy neckless on him, he does stay upright a lot better. All in all..The U-Command WALL-E is a real joy to play with but I would get it for an older child or even an adult. It is really a cute little robot and makes you laugh and love him just like you did in the movie.

I Love This Toy
Well I am a 63 year old father of two grown boys, that are both men in there late 30's now. I am probably the biggest animation fan that you will ever find, and I saw this last year and wanted to buy one, but I kept putting it off. I happened to do a search, and I discovered that this item had increased in value quite a bit. I saw it anywhere from the price I paid, which was $135.99, all the way to several sellers asking $999.00. I was shocked. I bought this one for the price I mentioned earlier, and I simply love it. He talks, lights up, dances, plays music, turns in reverse, and can be operated with the remote control or programed to do a multitude of movements. He is very cool, and I had absolutely no problem with him tipping over like some others have suggested. I simply love him, and I have him proudly displayed in my living room, with all my other collectables, which drives my wife crazy. You should get one of these today, before they are all gone, or the only ones you will find, are the ones selling for $999.00.

Great remote control product
I've purchased quite a few remote control toys for my 5yr old son. Most of these products were mediocre in most regards. We're not huge fans of Disney, however, my son did see the film Wall-E on dvd. He loved it so much that I decided to purchase the toy as I like the idea of remote control toys and hoped this would be a positive experience. By far, this is the most superior remote control product I've ever purchased. There is a level of sophistication and simplicity in the design. With this in mind, operating the toy is quite easy - my son was able to figure out the functions on the robot and the remote with minimal assistance and supervision. As the instructions indicate, make sure your child does not pick up the toy by any of the movable parts which includes Wall-e's head and arms. Educationally this game is great for developing motor skills and coordination. Definitely a well-manufactured, well designed, impressive product.

Fun and worth the money!
This is my second purchase of this Wall-E. 1st one I purchased few months ago and was shipped from France to my daughter back home. Package never arrived and she was heartbroken, so I decided to go for another one - and I did it without remorse. This little guy is worth it! As a cruise ship employee, I get all my stuff on ship and this one was no exception. When I ordered it, there were some comments from other reviewers that it's unstable and whatever. I don't know what conditions it was exposed to, but in my little cabin onboard cruise ship and on rough carpet, this little guy was happily whirling around without a single problem! I deliberately drove it into the wall and shoe locker, just to see if it's going to tip over - not even once. I had my whole team of 13 people sitting in my cabin and begging me to let them play with it! After an hour of fun with Wall-E I had to fight them to give it back to me, and we're talking about grown-ups here! Bottom line - fun, well-made toy! Only con I'd mention is that it requires quite a lot of batteries, but get rechargeable ones and watch your kid smile from ear to ear :)

Cool Toy!!
Purchased WALL-E for my 3 1/2 yr old son for Christmas. His eyes lit up when he saw it. WALL-E looks just like he does in the movie along with the sounds he makes. His eyes light up blue too. It seems to be pretty durable, not cheapy. My son could manage the basic functions on the remote fairly well. My favorite feature is being able to program a series of moves and then having WALL-E do his thing with the touch of a button. Overall I gave it 4 stars because like most toys of this nature there are only so many different commands you can do. This limitation tends to make these toys somewhat gimmicky. Still, if your'e kids a fan of WALL-E, then this is definitely going to make them happy. I recommend it!

Fun for the first hour - Garage sale future item
Well built, cute and has some educational value in teaching step by step movement programming. But after the first hour my son got sick of it and now it just sits on the shelf. An expensive item for a paper weight. Then again aren't most toys?
