VERY POOR QUALITY
Truly awful quality. Soft images plus lots of CA and fringing. Neither lens performs anywhere close to the TECHNO W/A adapter I bought for a lot less than this. I was expecting more from Exolens, but this was seriously bad. If you want decent pictures, avoid this.

Fun but expensive
This is an iPhone lens kit that fits a number of iOS devices but not the latest iPhone 7 according to the box. I tried it on an iPhone 6s. In the box there are two lenses, a wide angle and a telephoto. Both are attached to the phone using a small clip on adapter. For the adapters to work the phone can't be in a case and a screen protector will cause issues if it is too thick. The whole set up is very portable and is much easier than carrying an additional camera. In use this product is a tale of two halves, The wide angle lens provides a field of view similar to a Go Pro and it's quite good fun to use. The images produced are okay and are not possible with the standard iPhone lens. Sharpness is sacrificed but the images are still usable. The telephoto lens on the other hand really suffers and only the centre portion of the lens is sharp. In testing a cropped image from the iPhone camera was better in nearly all respects than the full-size image created with this lens. I cannot therefore recommend the telephoto part of this kit apart from for taking portrait photos where a bit of softness can help. Based on this being a wide angle kit only it is rather expensive and I think there are better lenses available from other manufacturers.

Keep to the standard iPhone lens
Disappointing overall. The objective is to easily and quickly improve photography. They are just too fiddly and, most importantly, do not give a clear picture. The picture feels out of focus. The iPhone takes great photos, this does not seem to really add to the experience.

Manage your expectations and you'll be happy!
For me, this ExoLens product had the potential to be really awful or really good. I have the iPhone 6S Plus and the iPad Pro, so right off the bat, my iPad was out, as the exolens is only designed for the iPad Air and the iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 Plus and my iPhone 6S Plus. That's not a problem for me as I never take photos with my iPad. I should probably say that I'm a photographer - so for me to like this product, it has to be up to scratch. Eventually, it was. I say eventually because I needed to fit the gel liner specific to my iPhone to the bracket - wish was incredibly fiddly to the point of sheer frustration and borderline anger. However, with that problem over with, the bracket fitted perfectly. Taking photos was as easy as ever, with the wide angle lens being the most impressive, despite the distortion at the borders of the photo - it almost looked like a fisheye shot. The photos taken with the telephoto lens were also crisp and clear. The few indoor and outdoor shots I took were actually pretty good - and taking the time to ensure the gel liner and the bracket were fitted properly ensured that there was no border bleed or shadowing at the corners. You would not know that an accessory had been used to take these photos. The actually quality of the lenses and accessories felt superb. Most of the lens body was made of cast aluminium, and the lenses had an anti-reflective coating on them. The kit is supplied with a microfibre cloth bag, lens and aperture caps, a carry handle and spare gel liners to ensure your device gets a good fit. In the end, it turned out to be a pretty good product, but I wasn't blown away overall. B-

One great lens... but will you ever use it?
I've put off reviewing this item for a while, as I've been quite torn about what to say about it.The kit consists of two lenses, one which is a wide angle lens, great for close ups or distance photography. The other is a fish eye lens. Both lenses seem to be very high quality, are substantial in weight, and come with protection cases. There is also a selection of clips to fit various phones, and a fabric drawstring pouch to carry the lenses in.The fish eye lens was pretty pointless for me. It may be fun for holidays or something but to me it's a bit of a gimmick. The wide angle lens, on the other hand, was brilliant. It took fabulous portraits of my kitten, and if you need a landscape shot, this gives you a bit of (fixed) optical zoom, rather than the graininess you get from the digital zoom on your camera. The reason I've marked the item fairly low is just that basically... I've hardly been bothered to use it. When I got the item I was really excited, but I just haven;t ended up reaching for it. I'm keen on photography, and take loads of photos every day on my camera phone. But the lens is heavy, and even though I've been carrying it around in the bottom of my handbag, I either forget about it or just don't have time to mess about screwing lenses on before I take a snapshot. I find that if I'm going somewhere where I will want a decent shot, I just take my digital point and shoot camera, which offers adjustable zoom and less messing around. For me, I use my camera phone when I want something instant. This lens is almost as heavy as my digital camera, and doesn't offer anything but the most basic image improvement. In summary - yes, this will give you better picture quality than your camera phone. However, thing about if you really want to carry around a relatively heavy and fragile camera lens, and have to screw it on and off to use it. If you already own a digital camera of any description, I wouldn't bother buying this. In fact, even if you don't already own a digital camera you could buy one for the same price as this item, which would have far more functions than this does. I really don't think it's worth the money.
