Use this for a lot of our gigs now - just the right balance for me - efects could be a little punchier maybe, but that could also be me getting used to using it. As with all mixers, if you're using a number of wireless XLR's it's not easy / possible to fit them in side by side, so get a couple of extensions and they work fine. Really like this. Paired with a foam inlaid flight case and a decentish head amp it's a great mid sized soultion for our PA needs.

My first one turned out to be a non functioning return but I was impressed with Amazon instantly replacing it, not waiting for the first one to be returned. It’s Alto, just like my large and small powered pa speakers so it’s good. THE GOOD Very quiet preamps. Probably the most important feature of any mixer. Compact and light. Spare knob fronts allowing you to use your own colour coding. Alesi effects. The same as my Alto Buskers, crude and not much in terms of toys but excellent to replace the natural resonance of acoustic music that PA systems strip out. THE “COULD BE BETTER” The first mixer delivered had failed due to the power jack, this was bent and the socket pushed in by the previous owner. To be fair to the previous customer, it is too delicate and a weak point. Very little eq. The high and low knobs do seem to work at the frequencies most associated with vocals etc but a mid knob hardly adds much to the cost. I’m not looking for mid sweep at this price but a bit more eq would turn it from good to excellent. No PFL or any other way of visually seeing if individual channels have signal. Not a problem when setting up but makes fault finding a chore. Outputs are TRS jack sockets, not XLR. Make sure you have balanced TRS to male XLR cables or, like me, buy new ones (frustrating.) CONCLUSION I knew of the limitations when I bought it and you can get mixers with lots and lots of good features BUT you’ll not get quieter preamps at this price. Quality is good, if the limitations aren’t a problem, you’ll not find a better mixer without spending big.

You could get awfully anal about which manufacturer is offering up what compared to other manufacturers. The reality is that the World we are now in is dominated by products like this one that come from China. You want to buy a mixer made in the UK or the USA - well, good luck with finding that one at a reasonable price. This mixer does the job. Look at the photo of the top plate and see which channel does what job and then decide if it's going to cover what you need. In our case, we needed a channel for Mic 1, Mic 2, Guitar 1, Guitar 2 and a backing track source from a Laptop.. Add in a monitor for the singer, and we are finished. Each channel can be run as mono, but stereo is also available if you want to use extra channels. Although this only has Jacks out to the PA we've never found that to be a problem because the cable is only 5 or 6 yards long anyway. Choose a Reverb or Delay for the vocal channels and stick with it - just adjust each channel to feed in just the right amount, and you're done. I can't see anything about this mixer that's not to like. On stage it looks the business with each knob having it's own colour and the whole thing being nice and compact. Stick it on a music stand and you're done. What's not to like?

Good product as it served its purpose

Well made, great output, easy to use, but definitely missing the mid-frequencies graphic control. Would have been a five star rating otherwise.

This mixer is ideal for a small home studio or even if you are a DJ or play in a small duo or band. All the connections are easily accessible and you also have a USB connection, although beware…although it’s a multi channel mixer, over USB you still only have Left & Right as inputs/outputs to and from your DAW. As a bonus though, the introduction of Bluetooth makes connection of other audio devices easy, especially if you’re into podcasting…if you gig and use backing tracks, this does away with the need for a wired connection…HOWEVER… in a busy environment with lots of people on mobile phones with Bluetooth switched on, you might encounter some problems, I haven’t yet playing backing tracks, but be aware it may cause problems so make sure you always carry a “wired” option. Another bonus is the addition of extra (4) headphones outputs all with their own control. To top it all off, you’ve also got a very capable FX section and they sound really good, especially in a live situation.

Works great and easy to operate, it can handle the amount of output that we need, small concerts on a regular basis. Would definitely recommend if your a occasion party DJ of some sort
