Good, but could be better
It took me a long time to think about this review as I really had to think a lot about the pros and cons... I bought the camera in January and have now been using it for several months. Overall I can only give it 3 stars as I see a few major issues that could be improved by the manufacturer.First the positives- The cam is easy to install and link to the WiFi. Great marks for this as it can be quite intimidating, especially if you are not a tech wizard.- Connection with the WiFi is stable and at no time have I had issues with the cam loosing signal or anything. It is fixed on a shed and the signal has to go through a very thick wall.- The customer service team is super responsive. Some of the settings can be a bit technical and they answered any questions I had very quickly and to my satisfaction, in plain English, sending step by step instructions- The night vision is very clear and works well- While I was a bit worried about inserting the micro SD card in the cam (you actually have to open the camera!), it went well, and thanks to this, there is no need to purchase a could based subscription from the manufacturer. Everything remains localNow the downsides- the UI on the phone or a PC/Mac is very clunky. It is not user friendly. I also have a Nest cam, which has the most amazing setup on the user side but this one unfortunately lacks in every single aspect. To find a recording you have to manually open each one. On a Mac, you need to download the footage; on a mobile, you also need to open each recording- The cam is so sensitive that when it rains or when a flies passes by it captures a recording. You can adjust the settings but then it does not record anything if you change the thresholds. So finding something becomes a long task...- The downside of not having a constant recording to the cloud is that... there is no continuous recording, hence the video files to go through after each alert- There is no notification telling you to upgrade the firmware, so need to regularly check the cam firmware is the latest up to dateSo overall, because the user experience has to be improved I can only rate 3 stars. With an improved UI this product could be so much better as it is not cheap.-

Excellent outdoor wireless IP camera
An excellent wireless security camera, with very good features and accompanying apps.This is the 720p outdoor version - offers great value for money for those that don't need the full 1080p resolution.Key features for me are:- Easy to set up - connect via ethernet initially (cable supplied), app finds the camera, configure the wifi settings either via the app or on the settings page by pointing your favourite web browser to the IP address identified in the app. That's it - up and running!- Motion detection: Highly configurable with multiple detection zones; individual zone sensitivity settings- Night vision: IR LEDs, IR Cut filter, individually configurable.- Wide angle lens.- Weatherproof - includes weatherproof junction box also (required for any outdoor mounting) which Ucam247 sell separately.- Record to SD: Supports high capacity micro-SD cards (not supplied)- Record to cloud: Supports the excellent Cammy service - essentially sends snapshots via FTP to your Cammy account - free cloud storage, 30 day buffer.- Strong wireless signal - antenna is very effective, picks up wireless networks over a decent range.- iOS and Android apps - Connect to live stream, access recorded events on SD card. Also support push notifications.Any Amazon customer familiar with the Ucam247 IP cameras will see that this is a familiar looking product. It is the same hardware, same software (only with different branding). Good to have more than one UK reseller for this excellent hardware as hopefully it will drive competition and lower prices.

Very big camera (not discreet)
Fairly easy set up. Very big camera. I could hear people walking past commenting on it. Excellent picture quality but I had to return it as motion detect was very random (we could leave the house and come home undetected yet other times I would get an alert). the picture kept freezing on live feed and during record which is no good for security as cars suddenly appear then vanish...so do people.Zoom was amazing. Some excellent qualities but also some very poor.
