Home-Tek Light 'N' Easy Handheld Steam Mop Cleaner - HT851

The first thing I noticed was its size. Smaller, I thought than I'd wanted. I'd opted cheaply. Risky, yes. But that's a chance I was prepared to take. I set it up and got the steamer into gear. Well.....switched it on. It took a lot longer to heat up and produce steam than advertised. I tested on an area in my kitchen and then switched it off. The tested patch was dripping wet and so was the machine.....leaking somewhat. The pad though had done it's job and removed grime that I didn't even notice beforehand on the surface area I had just steamed. I felt a little disappointed that something as powerful as the steamer itself had let me down with drips and excess water. I waited though and felt the urge to give it at least the benefit of the doubt and allow it another chance. I repeated the same method of use. This time though it heated up ten times quicker than the first. It steamed the same and cleaned as it did so. The real difference though was that there was no excess water on the surface I had just steamed, nor dripping from the steamer. The pad had maintained its ability too of collecting unseen grime from the newly steamed surface. And that's when I decided to not moan nor send it back to selling point. It is an absolutely great thing. I've had it around two weeks at this point and don't know how I ever managed without it. It is a versatile, cracking little steamer and if anybody gets to buy one can I please ask you to give it another go (as I did) before dismissing it as shoddy goods. It worked for me and I guess it will for anybody else who gets the too much water first time thing. It is the versatility of the steamer too that I am content with. It cleans everywhere. Its size and power enables me to clean items at home from my bath (even taps) to tiled floors. The pads get filth ridden. I put mine in the washing machine and they're as good as the time before.Thanks.

If you want something that only lasts 2 uses then go ahead and waste your £12. Received this today. All seemed to be ok at first and the steamer actually did cut through grease that was left on the kitchen tiles by the previous owner of this house. See attached pics. Then i unplugged the unit to take it to another part of the house. Plugged it in again and the blue light wouldn't come on. The wiring in the unit is dodgey and only works intermittently. Furthermore, the velcro pads for the cloth pads to stick onto are weak and came the steam plate when i took the soiled cloth pad off. See attached pics for how much dirt came off the tiles for the one usage i got out of this rubbish item. In the bin it goes!!!! I am not using an item with dodgey wiring which is in close proximity to steam. Asking for trouble.

Bought this to steam clean my curtains whilst still hanging as I cant climb a ladder to get them down, I presumed by the size that it would have several steam hole outlets but alas it just has one in the middle which is pointless, it needs more outlets for the steam, as very little steam emits to clean large areas so it takes a long time. However after using I did notice that my curtains looked a tad cleaner. It is also rather heavy to hold for long periods! It does have a good length cable.

For the price I paid for this product I really wasn't expecting much. I am happy to say that I was wrong this is a great asset. It could do with some attachments such as a nozzle to get into difficult places but apart from that I am very pleased. I will be recommending this to friends.

This is an excellent handheld small steamer. It is easy to use and is lightweight, So therefore easy to carry around. Suitable for cleaning a range of things, I have used it on Doors, Worktops, Floors, Tiles and Vinyl flooring plus lots more.It comes in a box with extra steamer pads which are easy to fit. It is worked by electric so you need to plug it into a socket, Which can make it slightly difficult if you need to clean high up areas.Overall this is a really handy steamer and it is good quality. I really like this it’s not heavy not bulky so can easily be stored in a cupboard reall good for sanitising worktops and cleaning floor to ceiling mirrors in my gym which was a chore doing it with cloths seemed to take forever now I glide over the mirrors with this and just let it dry

Not really up to the task. Cheap, so didn't expect much but mostly just makes stuff wet. Not a great deal of cleaning involved. Less effective than elbow grease and a scourer for cleaning bathroom and floor tiles.

got this for my bathroom tiles and mirrors...its fab just pull the trigger and go...works brilliantly in my kitchen too...on my white gloss units, my cooker hob, fridge door...I could go on....but please be aware this is for flat surfaces only, it wont get into any nooks or crannies but I only bought it for my tiles so I'm very happy
