InsuJet is a device that can be used to administer insulin without a needle. The insulin is fired at high pressure through a small aperture, which creates a high speed jet that can penetrate the skin and underlying tissue. The pressure is generated by a powerful spring which is optimised for subcutaneous insulin delivery. InsuJet disperses insulin in a specific process through the subcutaneous tissue. Contrary to needle injections, insulin is not simply pushed through the skin and disposed as a droplet. Insulin instead spreads through the subcutaneous tissue in a cone-like formation maximising insulin absorption into the circulation. It is likely that the absorption of fluid is different (and faster) than a conventional needle injection. Please note: the pack does NOT contain nozzles or adapters. Those need to be purchased separately.

Absolutely hate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Broke in under 1 year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUNKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Update: DO NOT BUY THIS!!! DO NOT TRUST THE SELLER OR MANUFACTURER!!! This device broke in just under 1 year of use. The warranty said it was for 1 year, but I sent it back as the warranty card said to do, and they said they would not warranty it because they received it after 1 year. Seriously, I had to ship it from the USA, so it took a bit to get there, but the post mark and letter I dated and included both prove it was sent back in time. VERY CROOKED MANUFACTURER AND SELLER. They seem to know they have a defective product, and they can easily rip off someone from overseas. DO NOT TRUST THIS MANUFACTURER OR SELLER! Originally, I had been happy, as the following shows, but it is expensive and obviously breaks easily. I am more than upset, this has devastated my life. As I just can not stab myself with needles and need 5 insulin injections per day, I am (had been) so happy to have the insujets! I bought 2 (unfortunately) since I use 2 different types of insulin each day. This device is very easy to figure out how to use. If you have previously used the Medijector (now unavailable), this device is an easy transition. However, the Medijector lasted 6 years with no problems at all. THIS DEVICE IS JUNKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great device - millions times better than needles - £400 is way too much
Great for Type 1 diabetics. No needles, less painful, fewer track marks and simply does a better job of getting the insulin in the right place to do it's thing. My only gripe is the handset device doesn't last years as some say - I've been through 3 in 5yrs - they have a tendency to break after about a year - not in a dangerous way though, they just go pop and are in bits..WORTH NOTING - THESE CAN BE PURCHASED FROM THE UK SUPPLIER FOR £90 (Spirit Health). THIS SELLER IS RIPPING YOU OFF CONSIDERABLY. Also, if you speak to your Diabetic consultant they can get them on prescription for you.
