Am I the only one loving this SanDisk ProBlade ecosystem?
I first bought the Pro Blade Transport and two 2TB mags. While I was disappointed that the transport only supports 20GB/s via USB 3.2x2, I eagerly awaited the release of the Pro-Blade station due to the Thunderbolt support. As a Mac user, 3.2x2 is not supported, so getting 700/900mb/s was fine - but not the greatest solution if you want to use external SSDs to offload media and use it almost as an internal storage. Given that macbook internal storage is scarce and incredibly expensive, I chose this to give me the best of both worlds. The Pro-Blade station solved it all for me. The convenience of having up to 4 mags (and up to 16TB) that are easily removable, and very importantly with NO cables involved, is absolutely amazing. The mags are as fast as my internal mac SSD with benchmarks showing around 1800mb/s write and 2700mb/s read via TB3.Yes, the enclosure has a fan but it only turns on under heavier data transfers and is fine with me, as it's only temporary. The built quality of all components is top notch, and the enclosure definitely feels over-engineered.It is for sure pricey, but so is buying a laptop/macbook with large internal storage. Sure $400+ CAD for the enclosure + $200+ for 2TB is not for everyone, but the mobility of the ecosystem (MINUS THE CABLES!!) is amazing.VERDICT:+ Amazing TB3 speeds (1700mb/s W, 2700mb/s R)+ Connect 4 different SSDs simultaneously without 4 different USB C cables (big plus for me)+ Use Mags as internal storage for media workflows without compromising on mobility+ Neat design- Pricey- Since it is not for every use case, not super popular, I'm afraid there won't be mags with 8TB+ in the future due to low demand- Fan noise noticeable under load- 100w supplied wall plug is very bulky

Excellent product for Professionals!
Love this station! The only downside is the fan noise, I mounted underneath the desk and is fine, only when I copy a lot of data (4-8 TB) at the same time on multiple drives the fan will make pretty loud noise, but that’s for a few minutes. When video editing from it the fan is on low speed (you can still hear it but if mounted underneath the desk is way better).Definitely great ecosystem and will probably get more!

Great item but did not last long
Convenient and fast but only lasted 15 months - in its last month, the fan started to run continuosly and then the unit just died. Expensive for just over a year's use.

When coupled with the new Apple M2 Pro/Max with Thunderbolt 3 and speeds up to 40 Gb/s
When coupled with the new Apple M2 Pro/Max with Thunderbolt 3 and speeds up to 40 Gb/s it’s a performance match made in heaven. Full system backups take mere minutes to complete vs the traditional times found with slow spinning disk

A nice addition to my workspace
I love that I can have multiple blades / drives accessible in one spot. It cuts dow. On the clutter of having different loose drives laying around. The transfer speed are decent. The only thing I don’t like is that the cables don’t stay attached to the back of the drive, causing disconnects if you lightly bump the station or move it to remove the blades. I found a solution to keep the cables secure by buying c type adapters / extenders that fit better in the chassis.
