I built this really easily on my own - the main bed plus desk and futon bed got done in one evening. My 7 yr old son absolutely loves it. The desk is a nice size and should be good for homework as he gets older. The futon bed has been used for a sleepover already and worked brilliantly. I highly recommend it.
