Do you have French double doors that use a ball catch mechanism to stay shut, and also have cats who have learned how to stick their paws under the doors and pull them open? Are you tired of walking into your bedroom to find that one of them has opened the door to your bathroom or closet and pulled all the towels off the shelf or smacked your brushes off the counter?Well then I have a solution for you!This latch does the job, keeping the doors closed regardless of how many paws reach underneath and try to pull!I was hesitant to drill holes into these doors to install the latch and so I decided to try using 3M double sided tape instead. I’m pleased to say it’s working wonderfully! The cats aren’t strong enough to pull open the doors anymore and they can’t reach the latch itself to unhook it! Problem solved.

I got this 2 pk of barn door latches to place on the gate in my side yard. My dog is a brat and likes to try to break through the fence even though it is made of solid wood. She takes the door in her mouth and tries to rip it off. By placing these hooks on the door it secured it so thay she wasnt able to pull on the door. The hooks are nice quality and seem well made. The door is now held in place and she is unable to move it. These 2 little hooks have given me piece of mind!

I installed two of these on my back storm door for added security as I felt my door's handle lock could be be easily breached with one good hard tug. The latches are so well made it reminded me of the quality goods we used to have in the 1950's. Thick steel, even the paint on the latches is heavily applied. The only thing I did differently was use my own 1 1/2" screws for the latch catch part as reinforcement. I'm buying again for my front storm door. Super glad I got these!

My handyman installed them in about 1 minute each. The worked great on my hollow core doors with the original screws. Handyman knew where to install them. They look great and I assume they will be durable. The look sturdy. I have a cat who opens doors by jumping on the handles.

Looks great actually. Only draw backs are how strong of a latch you need...as the metal loop is soldered to the plate and looks like could be broken easily with a strong tug. But, we just need it to keep kids out of mechanical room so no concern for us. Product appeal is in it's aesthetically pleasing design.

I have a patio door (inside lanai) that had to be installed where the door opens in, instead of out, but I have 30-40 mile an hour winds often that cause us to place a gallon jug of water and a 15lb weight behind it to keep it closed, these are sturdy, very sturdy, and the 2-pack was perfect, I was able to apply both on top and bottom. Works great and installed as a snug fit, it has allowance so you can gauge it for what you need. Great Price, Fast and secure shipping. A++++
