Works amazingly well at a very good price
I purchased this to place my Aqara P1 motion detector. The aim was to automate lights in an area which has a lot of movement into and out of the room throughout the day. The Aqara motion detector just wasn't reliable due to the clearing time delay.I am using the Zigbee mmwave sensor with a Conbee II stick connected via Zigbee2Mqtt. It works flawlessly. Detects motion instantly and clears within 3-5 seconds. The sensor is very sensitive so positioning is crucial. I used some bluetack to try different areas and then mounted it with 3MM tape once finalized. The good thing is you can also set a number of parameters within Zigbee2Mqtt such as Min/Max range, sensitivity, detection delay, fading time etc. It also has a luminosity sensor which is very hand in automations.Overall this does exactly what I need it to do. I have only been using it for a few days and no loss of connection so far. I will definitely be purchasing a few more and I would recommend it to anyone using HA to make their automations more reliable.

Great when they work! with Home Assistant, but Not sure on durability
These items are great! work fantastically well with my Home Assistant in terms of presence detection and light detection. So why the 3 star review?I bought a batch of these sensors 6 in total back in December 2023, I returned one because it was surplus to requirements, but have kept the other 5 units and they have been working on a daily basis in all the rooms in my house reliability until 1 has just decided to stop reporting the presence. Tried resetting it countless times, replacing the power supply and cable and I just cannot get this unit to report the presence anymore it's like the presence sensor within the unit has died, it is still reporting light levels but that is it. I'm really not sure on the durability and life of these devices now and how long the other units will last. Tried to contact the seller on amazon to see if they can do something item is less than 12 months old, so I'm hoping there is some kind of warranty in place. Admittedly these items are that expensive but when you buy a few it adds up and if they don't last then it's not a great investment. Will update this review if the seller can offer a solution. I would say buy this item if you are happy to take the risk on the durability though as it is a great sensor for the money.

Works well with Home Assistant Z2Mqtt
I bought these as presence detection sensors in areas where people are likely to stay stationary for a long period of time. Like in an office or sitting watching TV. They require permanent power provided by USB type-c and connect via zigbee. I paired mine to a home assistant using zigbee 2 mqtt. Seem to be incredibly responsive and detect presence in the room within seconds. No app or internet connection seems to be required Great if you're trying to cut the cord. The sensor seems to give a metres distance measurement, which I haven't quite figured out how to use yet within home assistant, but it should be able to customise lighting profiles depending on where people are standing within a room or sitting.

Very good but slightly overpriced. HomeAssistant compatible
Detected straight away in Homeassistant. Very good detection, and able to tune detection distance. Purchased similar looking ones for AE but this one is much better with more configuration within HA.Just a bit overpriced

Inaccurate, unreliable detection.
I found this device to be inaccurate and unreliable for detection.Lights would go off when you were present and had set them to stay on during detection.Did work with Home Assistant but limited entities out of the box.I had ordered the Sonoff presence detector and once that arrived I decided this sensor was no good and sent it back. The Sonoff device was found in HA, and had more entities right out of the box. Furthermore the detection was correct and it worked as expected. So that was the nail in the coffin for this one.

Works really well
Previously I've only had Fibaro sensors to detect if a room is occupied. The trouble with them is that they need movement to occur and only check every so often. These mmWave sensors have solved that problem. Now they only report "clear" when there is nobody in the room. In a large room (4x7m) the sensor needs to be carfully place and may need a bit of experimentation to find the best position. I use Home Assistant and the sensors were detected immediately. The light sensor part of these sensors report a very hight light level compared to Fibaro.I bought four of these mmWave sensors and one was faulty in that it reported "presence" randomly when nobody was there - a replacement worked fine.

Not adjustable in Home Assistant and Light sensor stopped working
Was cheap and cheerful but has some limitations. Firstly I could not adjust the range on my Home Assistant install where I was using Zigbee2mqtt. So it would detect people outside of the room until I turned it around so it was facing away from the doorway. This is not where I wanted to site it but that was the only way I could achieve a usable install.Secondly, the light sensor has now completely stopped working. It just registers low light all the time. I've only had it for 6 months so I'm not impressed with the build quality.I wouldn't buy this unit again even though it was cheap. Lesson learned.

Don't believe the bad reviews
Love this, if you read the description and understand that it's a tuya device and buy the zigbee version, then you'll already know that you need a tuya zigbee hub to connect to (which it does in a few seconds), just press add subdevice, and bingo, job done. This is going in my front room, so that lights don't turn off if nobody moves for ten minutes, but the possibilities are endless, heating, open curtains/blinds so they only open in the room you're in, and stay closed everywhere else (to keep the heat in in the winter/out in the summer. The only downside is the lack of zones you get in the £85 Aquara presence sensor, but for a third of the price, I can live with that. The only better one on the market at the moment is the linkNLink sensor for £20, but they sold out on day 1, and haven't been back in stock since.
