The Lazarus Curiosity: Steam, Smoke & Mirrors Vol 2 - A Steampunk mystery thriller

I was so glad to read this second mad adventure - not great literature, but well written, totally escapist stuff, mixing real-life people with inventive, exciting steampunk adventure. If you haven't tried this stuff before, these are a really good introduction to the genre . . . but read the first one first!

I'm really enjoying the feel of this series. It is Steampunk with a deft touch, some wry humour and damn good storylines. I love the protagonists and can't wait for the next one to be written.

After reading Steam, Smoke & Mirrors (the author's first novel) and loving every bit of it, I was looking forward to the next novel with trepidation. I thought could this be second album syndrome? I need not have worried one jot. Fantastic beyond expectations. You'll be drawn in from the first page and a guaranteed laugh out loud. Last week, I read this was going to Audiobooks, now that really excites me. Bring it on!!!!

I read Steam Smoke and Mirrors and really enjoyed it.I was looking forward to the sequel.....well if you like steampunk or just want to read an exciting funny story you will not be disappointed.I really think this is better than the first....cannot wait for another !!!!

After the first book I was really looking forward to the second instalment from Mr. Edmonds and it is a steampunk gem. Expect this to be adapted by some smart operator like Netflix in the next 18months

Fantastic storyline taken with a pinch of salt ! Steampunk at its best can't wait for the third magister story full five stars
