Matt Varnish Spray (500ml)

I bought this as a replacement for Mr Clearcoat which is a water based varnish product considering my local shop doesn't stock it anymore. The picture you see here is for a weapon piece to HG Zaku II. It does what it says on the tin, this is a first coat before painting. I was wary of quality considering it contains acetone and gunpla are made with a mixture of Styrofoam and other plastics and is known to melt them. Performs well in pique conditions. The finish is really great for a matte coat and honestly coverage is good. Do not spray into too humid or cold conditions. It does have a tendency to frost. Other than that for £15 not a bad buy and it'll last me, so good value for money in that respect.

Needed a varnish for some terrain I've built for Necromunda. This was a good price and amount compared to most brands. Only thing I warn about is that, even though I kept to the recommended distance, when testing I felt it went on a little too thick. To correct this I recommend building a spray-box out of any old Cardboard box and spraying multiple coats a little further away than what the instructions recommend.From what I can see it doesn't mute colours, and i've had no "snow" effect occur. However do be vigilant when letting it dry as it needs a good 24hours to fully cure.

Top product which I think I will continue to use from now on. Gives a great, durable matt finish but make sure to give the can a really good shake for at least a minute to get the best results 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Unfortunately the varnish frosted on me with the first use luckily it was on something unimportant so I won't be risking it on my actual miniatures. Money down the drain 🙁

An excellent product - as can be expected from Colour Forge. Fast-drying and actually matt (unlike a lot of products).
