Stranger Behavior After Feeding the Treats
I got a bag of these at an exclusive pet store in town and my dog loved them. So, I purchased a couple of bags at Amazon (although, honestly, the price was about the same, these are really expensive). I think you have to be careful with these treats because another review said she got "sand" and could not use the snacks for her dog. I got the same thing in one of the bags and that is because the compressed filling came out of several of the damaged links. If that happens, the snack is useless. The snacks are also inconsistent in size from one package to another. I got a package with nice long links and another with noticeable shorter links. These products have something called DHA that is supposed to help dogs with their brain function (similar to ginko biloba). As far as I can tell it is supposed to be safe and thus the name on the package of "Thinkers." However, after I started on the second bag of the treat, I noticed a difference in the behavior of my dog. She was just having some peculiar antics. She did not want to go off the porch to do her business. I had to coax her. She seemed indecisive, running around a lot in a non-productive way. She was definitely not as affectional, would go under her favorite chair or dresser and not come out. I know that sounds strange but I just do not think the snacks were agreeing with her. I stopped those snacks and she is back to normal. I know she loves those treats (gobbles them up), but I am not happy with the side effects. So, no more of these treats.

Great product and easy to chew
I gave a 5 star for Scent because my dogs go crazy for these!! They do smell strong for a human, but they weren't made for us. Great smell of Salmon for Fido! These are easy to chew for my senior dogs too. High Quality Product made in USA

BEWARE...grave intestinal problems arise from even the smallest amount
Be careful. I bought these for my dogs and broke them into very small pieces. Both of my dogs have been throwing up and have diarrhea. It is a terrible product that has made both of my dogs sick. Both are going to the vet today and got sick with 24 hours of eating this product. I hope this is not Chinese manufactured and we end up with the grave illnesses many other have experience, Beware I want everyone to be careful and would give this precast no stars if i could

Aspirational Composition, But Dog Wouldn't Eat Them
It's painful to rate these "Thinkers" from Plato Pet Treats as anything less than world-class, as clearly this is a thoughtful dog food/treat company that has our canines' well-being at front-of-mind: The ingredients in these meat-packed sticks are elite in their sourcing, attractively minimal in number, their Guaranteed Analysis is rich in optimized protein and fat content, and each thick, long stick is a feast for a dog's eyes. That said, I can't ignore my discerning Rottweiler's taste buds. She poo poo'd the Salmon Thinkers first, then turned up her nose at the Duck Thinkers. Conversely, she adores the thinner but not dissimilar composition of Carolina Prime Pet Jerky Treats, which like these contain no artificial colors, flavors, or chemical preservatives, are made in the USA, but come in at $.75/ounce, whereas Thinkers price out at a not-cheap $1.24/ounce.I grant you taste among dogs is subjective. Here's hoping your hound fares better with these than mine did. - (Was this of use? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!)

My dogs favorite treat
I won’t comment personally on flavor but these treats are my dogs favorite! She loves them. They are great for a bedtime snack. The only issue is the way they are shipped a lot of the sticks break into several pieces.

Wrong or Changed Product ... Not as shown!!
I've purchased this product for years and my dogs loved them. Now, the latest 3 orders were filled with a 'Salmon Recipe' rather than 'Pacific Salmon' product and they're brittle dried out sticks that my dogs won't touch. I don't know if they are no longer selling 'Pacific Salmon' but the last 3 times I ordered it, I got the disgusting 'Salmon Recipe' sticks that I have to throw in the garbage.

My dogs loved it
I have 2 dogs and while one of them will eat anything and everything, the other one can be quite picky and often turns away from treats. I got one of these to try and gave each of them half of it. To my surprise, the picky dog ate her half so fast that it was gone before the "food monster" had finished. They both came back looking for more.Unfortunately the price has more than doubled since I ordered so I won't exactly be stocking up on these, but I will definitely still use them for occasional rewards.

Great for Picky Pooches
My one-year-old corgi is extremely picky about his food and treats, to the point of being ridiculous. Even if he does like something, it's rare to see it stay that way for more than a week. Treats are no exception, minus one other Omega-3 Salmon high-value treat. It's common to see him turn his nose up at things most dogs would love, but he absolutely adores these. He bounces anytime I whip the bag out and gets a look similar to what I get when I eat a really good dessert...my happy place. They're shaped sausage style and are very large (roughly a foot, give or take), though he has no trouble wolfing it down like a proper Corgi. I split them in half easily to spread them out more. I really like the ingredients and the fact that they're non-GMO, etc. They're a bit pricey but you get a fair amount for it. Yes, they stink but most dogs love that.
