Digital Oven Thermometer & Timer with High/Low Temperature Alarm for Candy/Yogurt Making, Deep Frying, Baking & Cooking Meat Thermometer for BBQ Grill with Probe

I originally bought this because the old thermometer that I had was no longer working I use it for meats mostly when I'm cooking but instead of buying a certain type of thermometer to measure the temperature on a saline bag for a cat I just gently press it against it without piercing the bag and it reads it well too. It's easy to clean because the one piece comes apart from the other that makes it a great convenience.

I purchased this thermometer to use in home brewing for beer. When I received it, I tested is using hot and cold water and it worked well. This was about a month ago. Today, our group got together to do our brewing and we needed the water to be at a specific temperature. This was the first time we used this new thermometer. First, we had trouble getting it to do the reading in deg. F. It seemed to be stuck in deg C. This took several tries to get to the right scale. Then we placed the probe into the water and the temperature reading was calibrate to another digital thermometer and they matched within 0.5 deg F. Perfect. So, we left the probe in the water to monitor the temperature since we were trying to allow the water to cool off to a specific temperature. After about 10 minutes, something seemed to go wrong because temperature jumped approximately 120 degrees. We tried everything to get the thermometer to read correctly but had no luck. Even hours later we are getting reading at room temperature (70 deg F) that are reading close to 90 deg F. I thought to send it back but found that I was 16 days past the return date. In summary, this looked like an excellent idea but the product quality is surprisingly poor. Sadly, the price was low enough that this is not a big deal. It just seems a waste to have spent even a few dollars. My recommendation to future buyers, find another product, even if it is more expensive. This is a perfect case of "you get what you pay for".

we make homemade yogurt and this is very handy as we need to heat the milk to 180 and then cool to 110 before we add the culture. The device alerts us to both temperatures making it easier to prepare the milk for yogurt.

I needed it to tell me when milk was in correct temp, to add yogurt culture 105 to 115 , and to beap in that range, instructions did not mention how to do taht exactly , but if you set Hi temp at 105 and low temp at 115 , it will beep when within that range . The instructions show how tp have it beep above or below too.

It's not easy to have the thermometer in the pot and be sure that it's not too close to the rim, which is metal and hot. It seems like a good product and maybe I am not using it right, but it's not what I expected. Seems like I have to program the lowest and highest temperature each time? Wish I could save it. Maybe I can...who knows.

Worked GREAT for yogurt, for about 2 weeks. Was monitoring yogurt temp when suddenly decided it was 350 degrees F ( it was about 105 at the time ). Stuck there. Took out batteries, reset, tried everything. Now it's 160 C as it sits on my table. Not heavy enough to be a paperweight.

We bought this thermometer to do candy because the glass ones kept breaking. We ended up using it for everything. Because it has such a wide range we can use it hot or cold, for high or low heats. The wire even lets it be used on the grill with no issues.

Purchased this thermometer so that i could close my oven. Some of my cooking I need an accurate temp. This is the one for heating up oil and knowing the temp. No more to high of oil and burning the cakes.

A practical product that I handled carefully as it is a precision instrument, but after 4 uses it started to read 30C and more below actual temperature.It reads 70C for boiling water and -15C at room temperature.The electronics are not up to the use the product is designed for. Too badIt failed 35 days after I received it. the company will not issue a refund because the warranty is only 30 days.Do not waste your money

Used twice, probe failed. Not recommended.
