Easy to apply and long lasting
I have used Sikkens for several years now. I have a wooden chalet in the mountains and the woodwork really gets hammered by the weather. I ran an 'experiment' with several stains and found (in my view) that Sikkens was both easiest to apply and lasted longest for the pine wood that I was using.

We have used this on the front (1930's timber) windows for over fifteeen years
Ease of application. Just wash old paint and make sure it is intact, even on the sunny front windows it always has been. If not rub down and re-touch first. A couple of coats (thin) later and there you are; done for another year. Another plus, lust like varnish, you can see what is going on underneath. The only problem we have had before is in finding someone that sells the stuff. Amazon and this supplier promptly solved this problem. Now if it stops raining and or snowing....
