I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it is a real page turner. Fast paced and accurately researched, anyone who has been to the Mont Blanc area will be forced to smile in recognition as they read of the locations and the characters who frequent them.It is also a book that rewards reading more than once, as the author’s perception of human psyche is appreciated more when you are not desperate to find out what happens.Looking forward to the next book.

This book is a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The geographical detail makes it fascinating, whether the reader is a skier,a local or a would-be tourist. The characters are astutely described in an easy flow that draws you in to want to know them more. The storyline holds you within its intricacies, yet without losing you. It has a true and real message across the generations that needs to be told! It is readable whatever your age.

This is a unique book. Gillian's excellent use of word imagery brings your senses alive, so that you are really are in the midst,enjoying the views smelling the smells and tasting the tastes.But all the while you are reading this thrilling book,Gillian is subtly but gently drawing you into a much deeper message, one that we all need to hear and know.

A real page turner I sped through it and it left me wanting more!! You could visualize the scenery and the characters drew in my mind pictures of similar people I know and situations where a light goes on in your head and you just know there is a new direction in life on which it feels right to embark. Awe inspiring.
