The Beatles Collection - 1967-1970 (The Blue Album) (2CD) / 1962-1966 (The Red Album) (2CD)

Wanted to add to my collection of music I love.

Great CD set.

My old copy of the Red/Blue albums was originally released in 1993 and even to these old ears, I can hear an obvious difference with this 2009 update. I ordered this as a 'two fer', combining both sets of CD's into one really nice priced package.As for the Red/Blue issue, I love the chronology, the way the Red set takes you through their early years in matching suits and skinny ties out to get some 'birds', to mop tops, to Beatlemania, to students of the studio and eventually becoming some of the worlds most renowned musicians and songwriters in modern music.The Blue issue really shows how much the Beatles grew after they quit touring. They were creators and innovators in the studio and this set really showcases how much had changed and how much Sgt. Pepper was going to change the studio recording process.Overall, the remixes sound fantastic. It's very clean and crisp set, it's paced nicely and there's not a bad song to be heard. The booklet with each is a nice touch with a bit of info/pictures and is nicely done.I loved the packaging and the way these were combined together as a set. The price was great and they were delivered in perfect condition.I'll listen to these for a while and let the fanfare of the final Beatles track, 'Now And Then' die down and then pick up the even more updated set made for 2023, which as I understand it, is even more remixed and remastered and also includes even more tracks, but until then, this trip down memory lane and a large part of the soundtrack of my life will do just fine.

They do not come in a plastic jewel case, but cardboard...doesn't make a big difference, but you should know.

Amazing collection of songs. My 9 year old listens to this almost everyday. He begs to play it in the car.

This is a great collection of the Beatles music at a reasonable price.
